Ok, now that I think about it, generic gamepads (i.e. ones not made by microsoft or intended for xbox/360) do suck on pc halo. Mostly because the analog sticks don't follow exactly where you put them all the time. I know this because I borrowed a friends gamepad (generic) and I got really frustrated with it. But, I don't remember there being any "autoaim" in Halo : Combat Evolved on xbox when I played, nor on any videos I've seen of good players so I have no idea where you guys got that idea, I'm talkin bout halo 1 here not halo 2 xbox. So I agree with you fatty (not offensive right? its your name after all) on the whole gamepads on HALO 1 PC thing and them sucking. I would like to believe that there would be no difference in gameplay on H2V on account of bungie making the game to support both, because if you all haven't seen, they actually put the color coded button symbols in the game this time, which shows they intend to give people choices in the way they play, along with the many customizations one could use with a keyboard and mouse. That and the fact that most people who play xbox live - halo 2 are on the 360 anyways, so why wouldn't bungie use microsofts great product to compliment a fun game. Mr. Kim, you said mouse/keyboard users have a big advantage over controller users. Explain this to me in detail please because I just don't see how its any different. On H2V, how the heck is dual wielding gonna be fun if you have to alternate between the click buttons on the mouse? It feels weird to me, I don't know about the rest of you. I hope they put in vibration support for the 360 controller, cuz it'd be real lame to get smacked by a brute and not feel anything.
Lets all be grateful that the company I'm named after isn't doing the portion of the game that determines whether headshots on moving targets (that are aimed right on their head, regardless of the fact that were hosting a map or on a dedicated server) will hit the target and the target will die, and possibly do a flip or two.
