Welcome to B.net!

DO NOT piss off the Mods! They will screw you over if you do!.

*sigh* Let's get something straight, btw.

The Mods (and other Bungie-type lurkers) absolutely do not want to "screw anyone over." Some of the stuff that floats through these Forums boggles the mind, e.g: infantile commentaries; discussion of topics obviously unrelated (and occasionally hostile) to community, Bungie products, etc.; flames; attempted hacks; on and on.

These Forums are "moderated." Let's think about what that term means. It does not mean Moderators taking punitive measures because they "want" to, but because they must to keep things on-topic, appropriate, and enjoyable for all.

The Forums are not a democracy, they are a benevolent dictatorship. Your humble hosts provide you these generally-enjoyable pages to promote community for the legions of Bungie fans, wannabe fans, the curious, the interested, and the enthusiastic. To promote these things, there must be at least a semblance of order. Without order, there is chaos. In chaos, the entire exercise becomes futile.

Futility promote despair, then desertion. And we wouldn’t want desertion of the mighty Bungie fanbase, now would we?

I seem to recall a certain saying, something about “resistance is futile.” Can’t quite remember where I heard it, though <cough cough>. In any case, they got it backwards: futility is resistance.

Don’t resist, join. And in joining, find enlightenment.

Hope that helps.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

Bah! Propaganda! Beware the mods and Bungie staff; they have power. Power corrupts.
And ninjas scare me.
