If you have ever played halo, you know what the pillar of autumn looks like(POA level or the maw). So im think'n, "hell, why don't we have a multi player map like this?" yes we have "Boarding Action" but that map isn't cool to me or like the POA/the Maw.

The Ship
The map would probably be completly diferent from the POA, MP map size limitations would be a factor.
Lets talk about the ship itself, I would perfer a fighter Carrier kind of ship with 2 wide aft bays full of ordinance and longsword fighters and pelicans(maybe adjacent warthogs), seperated by the ships superstructure(so if 1 bay is compromised the other will still be active, but that doesnt matter).
Spawns
-Covenant
One of the bays would have a covenant boading ship/pod(Something pimped out with manable guns) and a few destroyed or tipped over pelcans too make it look like it hit hard(crazy covies...).
-Human
Our Mark VIs' are the deffending force on this map, so they start near the armory in the foreward section of the ship. Behind the armory is the bridge and fighter control room. between the bay and armory is the crew quarters then a main corridor to it, with 2 locked doors(openable from Human side and locks can be disabled there too)

Now i would like the rest of the community to contribute ship design suggestions setting suggestions (crashed maybe? and covies spawn at a near by firebase) and game type possibilities for such a map.

So please prove to me my theory that good ideas come in the shower=)

That would be pretty cool, but if I had a map it would be exactly like the POA but the interior of the crusier would be the BLOOD GULCH MAP!! THAT WOULD TOTALLY ROCK!

I don't know if it would work... the corridors would be too small and such. Maybe something like a huge docking bay would work

Sounds cool. Oh by the way please do not post bump. It kinda creates an exuse for flamers and generally ticks a lot of people off. But nice idea, too bad you didn't post it on the Truly Cunning Creative Cartography thread. But be expecting a contest sometime...

I like the idea of a map that was designed to make it seem as though I was fighting on a ship, but perhaps the Pillar of Autumn isn't an ideal model, since it's a Halcyon-class ship. Halcyon-class ships are ships that have so many cross bracings and honeycombs that it becomes a maze of narrow corridors, with the occasional roomy section of the ship. That's why I agree with the idea of a ship setting for multiplayer, but just not one based on the Pillar of Autumn. :-)

I would like to play in that hangar you see at in the first cutscene. The multiplayer could then have a story. Phantoms, shadows, ghost etc. force their way into the hangar and the humans have gotta defend it with their tanks, warthogs, pelicans etc. (I know you can't pilot a phantom or pelican but i read a rumour that you can call in air support or something similar) It could be a massive map with barricades to take cover, road servicing networks for vehicle boarding and dog-fights, side corridors leading to armouries and medial centres. There also would be a brilliant vista of Threshold and Halo through the covenants entry window thing. Second floor perimeters that look down at the networks with gun turrets. And plenty of vehicles to assault the opponant. Elites objective could be to open all the doors leading to the rest of the autumn and the spartans have got to do everything in their power to stop them. Whaddaya think?
