Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

Yes there is, listen closely:

First you must enable the console. Right click on the Halo icon on your desktop. Go to properties and in the target box add -console to the end. It should now look exactly like this (if not just C/P this): "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -console

Now you must always open halo from that shortcut if you want to use the console.

Now when that profanity spewing, racist, teamkilling, ballus-non-dropus comes into your server just hit the ~ key (tilde) to bring up the console. Then type "sv_kick name" (without quotes, name is the name of the person you want to kick)

To ban a player, do the same thing except type "sv_ban name" (without quotes, ect.)

If the server has an RCon password you must open the console and type: rcon **insertpasswordhere** then the kick, ban or whatever other command you want to do.

Is there also an other way to ban/kick people by name.
Because some people got those ''alt'' names....wich can be hard to type...

Yes, when the kid who thinks he's clever comes prancing into your server with a name like: ®Û§†ßÃÑÐí† all you have to do is open the console and type in "sv_players" (no quotes)

It will bring up a list of the players currently in the server and there will be a number next to their name. Then simply type "sv_ban playernumber" (playernumber = the number that was next to their name) This works with the sv_kick command as well.

Be careful though, as the player numbers change between games. You might end up banning yourself like Iggwilv did.

A master typist need not worry of pesky alt-codes. But like RustBandit said, you can use the numbers beside the player names, you don't need to type out their name. I type in numbers all the time when I'm booting somebody. It's much easier, faster, and I'm surprised many people don't know this already.

The button is not tilde as such. It is the button to the left of the number 1 and above TAB. It changes depending on where you are in the world, for me it is ` (with shift it is ¬). ~ is next to ENTER under ] .

The button next to the 1 and above Tab is still generally called the 'tilde' key regardless of what symbol is on it. Thankfully most QWERTY keyboards are of a standard configuration. I'd hate to see what my typing would look like if they moved the Backspace key...
