i completely agree. i am not such a great player, so when you get started with the plasma , (with my noob-ness, it seems too weak, even on full charge) i spend golden start up time searching for an assault . cheers.
If you're not such a great player ask your self this:
-Do I want to get better?
-If so, will I do what it takes to get better (e.g. practicing Halo (seriously), beating the game on Legendary again for the hell of it, having more LANS, or playing on XBC-they all make you better)
-Do I have enough time to get better to measure up against people in Halo 2?
Also, you said: with my noob-ness, it seems too weak, even on full charge . This is your imagination. This is not true. I have observed every good player I have played. they know the physics and the layout of the multiplayer map like none other. Thus, it gives you an illusion that they are good, but all they have is:
*good use of the physics
*good use (aiming) of weapons
*good knowledge of the map(overshield, camoflauge etc.)
And with the plasma , practice it, full charge and semi-auto powered. And just basically practice Halo. You'd be surprised how good you could get.
