Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

Hey I had a cool Idea. I am also posting this in the Maw because it is more computer related than anything and the New Mombasa crowd probably wouldn't know...

I know that you can take an xbox controller, cut the end off, and mod it so it fits in a USB port. (by taking the "male" end I believe and attatching each of the wires in it to the correct wire in the controller cord) Which will enable you to play with an xbox controller on the PC.

I took that a little further. Since we all know a Keyboard/Mouse pwns a controller, couldn't I do that same thing, only take the keyboard and mod it so it fits in the xbox. Then I could pwn all noobs online on my xbox.

Any thoughts?

As you know, the keyboard is more complex and most likely the Xbox will not recognize it, or at least you wont be able to configure it correctly. I suggest taking the end off of your Xbox controller that you but the USB on and fitting it to the keyboard\mouse. I don't think it will work.

Doesn't the Xbox 360 have universal serial bus ports?

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

I guess if you were really desperate to show the console kiddies the superiority of the mouse and keyboard, you could make a little homebrew program to customize the Xbox controls to the keyboard. (There might be something similar floating around the internet right now, go Google it)
but then bungie would probably ban you for putting the software on your xbox to make the keyboard and mouse work efficiently. but i bet you could find some after market adapters that could do that.

Both are easily done, and you can buy either.

I don't consider it cheating. I consider it a better, more efficient tool for fragging your enemies.

Keep in mind that a keyboard/mouse adapter for the Xbox like SmartFrag doesn't give you a total, solid control and precision of a mouse and keyboard. The Xbox is made for controllers, not mice and keyboards, just as Halo PC is made for mice and keyboards, but not for controllers.

I tried the Max Shooter keyboard and mouse adaptor for the Xbox and it was a disappointment. The mouse look wasn't smooth and driving vehicles/firing from turrets was a nightmare because the horizontal look sensitivity is way too low. Meaning i couldn't steer or turn a turret fast enough to fire.

Yes. Even if you set the look sensitivity to 10, it still wouldn't be good enough for a mouse.

Wait...but wouldn't it be far easier to use a mouse/keyboard because of the combined precision of a mouse AND the auto-aim feature in H2Xbox?

You would be more accurate, but if you can't turn to your target fast enough to hit him you might as well throw a grenade at your feet. Unless a game is designed to use both mouse & keyboard and a controller you’re not going to have a pleasant time switching between the two.

Yes, I'd have to agree. Even though the auto-aim and netcode combined would make me an unstoppable killamanjaroing machine of death and mayhem and pie on Halo 2, the mouse and keyboard adapter doesn't give you the true mouse and keyboard advantage.
