I know you'll think I'm crazy and although it would ruin what halo is all about, I think it would be fun to have a warthog (or ghost or banshee maybe) racing mini game. Or perhaps a warthog dodgems game where each time you fall out of your car, u lose a point and if you get 5 strikes you lose the bumper car match. Anyone have any other pointless ideas feel free to post em or if you want to yell at me for my stupid ideas feel free to do that too.

i think that would be kinda boring considering the warthogs go the same speed. if u wanna race, then just use that game mode

Your idea sounds like it belongs on a hand-held consol like the Game Boy Advanced. I remember playing games like that on the SNES that had a life span of about 2 hours before they got boring and became un-used. You said it yourself, it would totally ruin Halo if you put a racing mini-game into it, you would basically be signalling to gamers that we are turning everything great and everything you love about Halo into Mario Party. Its cool that you are thinking of expanding the Halo universe into other genres of games and that, but I hope there will never be a Halo game with your idea ever made. Ever.

Oh yeah, I was playing halo pc before and i came up with an interesting game type. Banshees vs. Spartans. A small group could have a few banshees at their base while the majority of the players start off as spartans at another base. Banshees must kill 50 spartans and the spartans must destroy 5 banshess and roll them onto huge floor panel buttons that once all activated, create a bridge leading to the banshee teams flag maybe? Of course so that the banshee team keeps to their banshees they'll start with some rubbish weapon like a a single smg and not be allowed to switch it. Whadda ya think? is it better than the racing game or dodgems game?

Too right guys! If I were part of making halo or halo2 i would never even consider the inclusion of such an monstrocity. I was purely a stupid idea and I hope you understand this. oh and regarding the same speed thing, it could work, you've got to dodge obstacles and crap, i doubt that every gamer got the same time on that last maw section. Me and a fellow halo fan occasionally have warthog dodgem fights and race around the silent cartographor. I'm merely sharing some ideas and (perhaps) fun little games.

It's like what Mortal Kombat is doing in their latest game, Deception, with all the goofy minigames.

Sorry, but i just don't feel it fits in Halo...maybe in a goofy comical Sgt. Johnson way, but not in a serious gameplay-linked way. I dunno why i said Sgt johnson goofy, but his very existence is both serious to the plot and whimsical in the fact that he's just way too damn cool to die.

i like ideas like ash's. example, one fortified base with a large team against a small team of active cmoflauge snipers. im not saying this would work although now i CAn see it working, but i am saying i like the idea, of one team having one role, and another team having a different role. that may be why i like the timed ctf stuff.

I like the idea of having a mini game where you gotta knock the other people out of the worthog. me and some of my friends have tried that b4 and its really fun! anyways yea i think its a great idea for an extra game type. it would ad a little bit more longevity to halo

Lol, I know exactly what you mean I would get pissed off too if this crap was in the game. Thankfully, bungie is smart and confirms no such plans. Its just a matter of "what mini-games would you put in if this was in the game?" would you include a shotput/javelin type warthog launching game or is your cup of tea something else altogether. I know these mini-games would suck beyond belief if they were put in but what sucky game would YOU put in as a laugh? Thats all!

You guys do realize that since vehicles take damage when the collide with each other (and walls I presume) we can finally play -get ready for it- DEMOLITION DERBY!!!

I was playing paintball one day and they had a game called "Raise the Flag" that I thought would be great in halo. In the centre of the map there is a bunker with two lowered flags. The area would naturally be surrounded with gun turrets and road networks and the objective is to get your flag higher than the opponants. You must have the flag higher than theres to accumulate time. If both are equal (both raised or both lowered), the timers stop. If their flag is highest they gain time. You must lower theres and keep yours up. I think this would be a cool gametype and I hope bungie are listening. Theres opportunity for snipers, assaults on the bunker, defensive positioning to make sure the opponants dont lower the flag and regular medium ranged combat at the bases and at the bunker. This is obviously not my idea but what do you think about my translation into the halo universe everyone? Do you think it sounds like fun it could be called "RTF" (CTF's little brother)

lol that would be funny too (no escape) any one got any other ideas?

what about a game where theres two destructible bunkers (that require rocket launcher and grenade power to get through) each one holding a flag. You would need to blitz the enemy's bunker and grab the flag. This would perhaps stop the enemy from respawning so that you can hunt down the remaining stragglers to win the match completely. Lets call it "Blitz"?
