I think they should have one here too, halo will always be bungie so alot of halo wars fans will end up here. Im guessing that the site will change when halo 3 is coming out so that would be a good time to add a halo wars forum too unless that game is comin out sooner.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

To begin (though I'm sure someone will beat me to it), this is discussion about Bungie.net, which belongs in the Septagon. This is just for future reference.

Since Bungie has no actual hand except with the story, it would seem sort of pointless to have a forum for Halo Wars where people would simply be ignored. If members have ideas, they are supposed to go to the Ensemble forum with them, since Bungie isn't making the game.

And I believe that eventually the moderators will be directing HW idea threads to the Ensemble forums. Any thread, however, that has to do with Bungie concerning Halo Wars is fair game here in the Underground.

In short, when it comes to ideas, "That's what the Ensemble site is for."

Well, now that this is in the septagon... No. Halo Wars is not being developed by Bungie. I don't think there should be a forum devoted to thid game, but I do think there should be a Halo General forum for discussion of the books and such things.

Also, this has been discussed many times before. Try using the search feature.

Yeah, I know the obvious answer, and it's even in the poll, that's what the Ensemble site is for.

But many Bnet users continue to discuss HW and post about it daily in many Bnet forums. If they made a HW forum for Bnet, it would kill most if not all the annoying HW threads that pop up far too often all over the already existing forums. And it can't really hurt anything to have 2 forums for Halo Wars, one here and one over at Ensemble.

I think it'd be a good idea. So let's hear what the rest of you think.

Thats exactly the reasons to why there should be a halo wars forum. The underground would be spammed with halo wars threads and the mods would have to dedicate their time here to directing ppl to the right site and forum. It would be so much easier to just have a forum here unless theres some contract saying that esemble are the only ones allowed to have one. Would like to make clear that im not a big fan of the halo wars idea so im not just posting this to get a forum here for more personal amusement.

So make a forum so people don't make threads in the Underground? Doesn't that seem, in the least bit, rude? Like saying "We don't care what you have to say, but since you are saying it here, you may as well say it somewhere where nobody has to see you say it." Why not just divert the thread creator to the Ensemble forum and then lock the thread? The people get their ideas heard (in theory), and we don't have to deal with it for very long.

That's not rude, that's called organization. Pooling threads with similar topics in one place so like minded people can come there to discuss that specific topic. That's why we have 3 Halo 2 Forums, one for XBL H2, one for H2 on Xbox, and one for H2 on Vista.
Making a Halo Wars forum would simply give a designated place for all the Halo Wars discussion already happening all over the other forums, and would ensure that those discussions aren't happening on boards they don't belong on, and make it easier to find a place to discuss HW if that's what you wish to do.

Either way, even if they should go to Ensemble's site, people will discuss HW on Bnet like crazy. They do now, and will continue to do so. May as well make a place for them to do it, and not clutter the other forums.

How about the fact that it is a forum designed to divert all of the HW threads somewhere where they won't bother anyone but the moderators (who still have to keep it clean), rather than diverting them to the place where their concern and ideas will be (theoretically) heard? It's basically a forum designed to make ignoring the people who want to discuss Halo Wars easier.
