What was the second Betrayal? The fact that 3434GS was going to get MC to nuke the galaxy was the first... but what was the second?

Dont bump your own threads, ever.

The first betrayal is that 343 Guilty Spark felt like MC betrayed him for not activating Halo, and the second is that Cortana felt like Master Chief betraye her since he went and got the index with the intentions of activating Halo.

Now, I recommend looking on the HBO story site (link in my sig) for the best synopsis, but I don't think that these two betrayals are the correct betrayals. One is obviously the disintegration of the relationship between 343 GS and MC when 343 GS feels Halo installation 04 must be activated and MC and Cortana refuse to activate it. However, 343 GS's dialogue in the cutscene that starts the level Two Betrayals indicates that the Halo installation 04 was activated once before.

And his name is Guilty Spark. That isn't what MC or Cortana call him, but what he calls himself, implying that the name was used before MC got to Halo.

This all comes down to the fact that Halo installation 04 had visitors and had been activated at least once prior to MC landing on Halo, so the second betrayal almost certainly pertains to the past history of Halo, rather than what is happening on Halo when MC is there. I'm sure Halo 2 will shed light on this topic.

why would a level be named two betrayals unless the two betrayals weren't in that level? wouldn't it be called the second betrayal? keep checking halo.bungie.org cause me and my old man posted something relating to this. it explains some stuff

edit: that first post about betrayals definately isn't right. if there are two people and you have to betray one or the other there is no way you can get two betrayals outta that. if you understand that...
