Like a social networking site? I'm not sure what would be gained by that. On sites like Friendster or MySpace it is their to link you to people you might not know. But here there is a much smaller population and everyone is in the same space. It would just be a list and people would just use it to say "Oh, I have more friends than you!"

But what if you couldn't see other people's amount of friends? Maybe if the list was just so you can see who's online then it could be a good idea. There are people who I'd like to able to see when they're online, and this could be a solution. There wouldn't have to be another system in place as there's the PM system which does fine. ;)

Read about the Forgotten Spartan I Program
Butane: To protect the world from devastation!
sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

but then we get into the argument that people would spam mods with friend invites, and people could use it to see what mods are on, etc.

thats why if bungie made this the would make it strict off the beginning to see. well wat i mean is that you can click on your profile and it will have a box with your top friends that you choose and the rest with a clicker to see other friends. so you dont have to search them up and you can instant message them on bungie not no thunderbird or gabbly or any instant message thing.

Yes, people could be spammed, but once they're on their list they won't exactly send any more invites. After the first couple of days the invites will stop, and of course, a block feature (much like that with PMs) could be integrated, too.

The Mods wouldn't have to accept anyone.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

I never quite understood why knowing when someone is online matters in regards to sending that person a PM. Surely if you send that person a PM he/she will get to it once he/she logs on. Does knowing when that person is online mean anything? If you have a question or comment for a member, surely when you ask it will be irrelevant.

A private friends list. That's what I would like to see on Bungie.net. However, If Achronos does this; this new feature might disrupt hyperlinks again.

You could just add your Bungie buddies to your friends list on aim or msn or even yahoo and if they are on just talk to them there. I really wouldn't get the point of a Bungie friends list

A cool thing would be if you could add ppl from bungie.net (the ones with linked gamer tags) directly to your xbl friends list (if its not full already ofcause). This feauture should exist on all game sites related to xbl that uses the net-passport system.
