Am I the only one who thinks there are not enough topics per page, I think there should should be maybe twice as much. Just a suggestion...

  • 04.14.2004 6:39 PM PDT

Theres a topic somewhere around here talking about that.

Probably is, but without a search engine for the forums it would take way to long to go page by page. Having more topics per page would help though...

Man where have you been? These two topics are everywhere! And it seems so is Stosh? Maybe here's a suggetion; let the members pick the forum mods, and if Bungie approves, then they get the spot!

I agree.

Maybe...I think bungie knows who's who though. Seems like Sketch does anyway. Or more specifically he seems to know who's got what it takes to actually moderate a forum of this size and importance. Moderating is not an easy task. I don't know if most people could handle it...users can be incredibility annoying and frustrating at times - but over the years I've learned how to deal with them. Moderators have got to have experience. They'd go nuts otherwise.

But with that said I am enjoying moderating immensely and I do think it is really fun. I feel like I am improving the bungie community, and that makes me feel good. There are also some really cool things I want to run/start for the new bungie.net (ie an avatar contest). I can only hope they'll let me try. (theme contest failure was not my fault hehe)

i still think we should be allowed to choose a moderator. perhaps a moderator elections per year? JAF goes for moderator! Vote for me and i'll make this a better place! And free biscuits for all of you! vote for JAF!

or am i going mad right now? probably

bah

All a moderator needs is good taste in what is wrong and time. Moderators can't be on 24/7, which is why Bungie made you a mod I suppose. They needed help. I would make a terrible moderator. Every post that had something similar that was posted recently would get canned. Every reference to another forum would get moved. I am a strict biatch. I tolerate nothing. On the other hand, the three or four threads that made it through would be of extremely high quality. ;)

Also the sucky thing about becoming a moderator is that you can't really participate in some forum discussions. Like...as a forum mod it would be a bad idea for me to start a halo theory topic. People would take my word as Bungies.

bah

In that case, I think it is good that your profile always be identified as member, and let the avatar say moderator.

I think eventually my title is going to be changed as well. At least sketch said something about that. I wouldn't mind if it said, Not Staff or something funny.

Yea, that would be pretty funny, but of course that would also show your importantness.

I agree it has to be a hard job to be a mod. Look how many posts stosh has, he must be skipping school! Don't make me call your parents! The elecet a mod was just a zaney little idea, but who cares right?

Sketch seems to know alot of people because he knows alot of the respected members of the column, or just lots of fimiliar names, but that's just my opion....
