I found it once on this sight, but I can't remember where it is, and I remember that you had to download something, I think, can someone help me.

Wow. This place is inactive right now.As for your avatar, you should note four things:1. Use the search feature! Upper right-hand corner.2. You can't have have a custom avatar on Bungie unless you work for Bungie or are a moderator or theme master, all highly unlikely.3. As far as I recall, avatars here are 90x90 and Gif. format. I may be wrong.4. You can submit your avatar to be added to the public list, but it is again highly unlikey it will get through and I'm not even sure if they check the inbox to update avatars anymore.

You don't really need to download anything. As long as you have an image manipulating application such as Photoshop, Gimp, paint, paint shop pro etc etc, you can make an avatar. To make an avatar, you have several options:Option 1) Take an existing Bungie-related image from this site and change it or whatever you please.Option 2) Based on Bungie, create an image from scratch.Avatars need to be 90x90 pixels in dimension and should be (i think) 10kb maximum, or 20kb for animated avatars. All avatars should be in .gif format.Once you create an avatar (or however many), send it in an e-mail to 7themes@bungie.com.

Yeah, as far as I know they are not accepting any new themes or avatars currently. I have seen Achronos say this somewhere. I can only hope(*crosses fingers*) that there is a Newer Hawtness in the works sometime soon. Perhaps for the Halo 3 launch. Sadly that could be a ways away, but hey, who knows what new changes could be in store.
Find a picture you like, save it, go here and put it in, and change the size to avatar on the pull down menu, wait a bit, then you should have nice little 120 X 120 picture ready for avatar usage.
How do I make it 90 x 90 and into a GIF format with microsoft paint?
