Hm...I like how the Maw is set up now, however, the titles of the two threads seem to need a little bit of work, in my opinion. Maybe it's just me, but after using god-knows-how-many forums for about 2-3 years, whenever I see a title longer than a line, my eyes tend to glaze over it.

I suggest perhaps: "Community Links and Threads of Interest" for the first one and "READ BEFORE POSTING: Rules and Regs" for the second one.

I said this in my earlier post so I will back what me15ter is saying here. Short, sweet, and to the point does the job.

After all when people sign up they want to jump in right away. No one wants to read a lot of rules and regulations; they want to be able to post and try and get their name known in the forum. You can easily convey messages with a few words. However Recon do not skimp on messages that need to be spelled out, such as the cd key rule.

That needs to be clear cut and stated right out.

wow! Like what you've done with the place Recon! I must say it is a whole lot roomier. I guess since nobody else has yet, I'd like to voulenteer for the job of maintaining the Clan Directory. I can see how Me15ter has managed to keep the looks of the Xfire SN list and i guess we could implement something like that for the Clan Directory. I should also probably contact you via PM to discuss it further...

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Recon, it's very nice of you to help us clean the forum spam intake. I think Recon deserves four cookies instead of two. :D

Maybe some of us Maw regulars should be given limited moderating powers (7-day blacklist, threat locking) that only apply to the Maw? That would reduce the amount of time mods actually need to be here. boo orcface.

If someone wants to volunteer and babysit that thread more closely, I will be happy to help them out with deletes, blacklistings, warnings, etc.

I would love to help. Should I PM you or something like that?

I had a thought about that a while back. There would be a local ninja with almost full authority over the maw forum. then under him would be a few more mini-ninjas with lesser power for onyl in the maw. the "leader" would be able to delete posts, change posts, delete threads, lock, sticky, un-sticky, unlock, temp-ban people from the maw forum, and other little things that arent too powerful that the ninjas could do. The under-ninjas would be able to lock threads, delete/change posts, and sticky things. These local ninjas woudl also have a diffrent color, possibly a certain color for each forum. *maw could be green or something.*

Firstoff, like I mentioned, the thread titles should be made a bit more concise...they all look too much the same, and easier to confuse. "Welcome to The Maw," while nice, friendly and inviting, are truthfully a bit confusing and seem a bit superfluous. Just my two cents.

Truthfully, it'll be a cold day in hell when B.net puts that plan into action. I personally think it's a good idea, but the B.net overlords don't like it too much. Firstoff, B.net never has and never will assign a moderator to a single board, you either become a full mod or not at all. Secondly, I know that most (if not all) the mods have been around and about Bungie.net (not just the Maw, but everywhere) for at least 2-3 years.

I agree with most of what has been said. I made this as a graphic representation as to what should be done.

I can't begin to tell you how much that helped.

Now if I can only get my burned retinas to heal. *grin*

Pfft. Retinas. Who needs 'em?

Thanks for cleaning up The Maw, Recon. It shines of lemony freshness now!
