I think it's funny that we're discussing the state of the Flood.....in the Septagon? Would the Flood goers discuss the state of the Septagon in the Flood?

Hell no they wouldn't.

You guys have to remember that the Flood has the largest population of immature posters and largest population of prepubescent boys. Mix that with a little free for all topic discussion and sprinkle a little angst, emo and raging hormones and you get Teh Flood.

Heh.

Reminds me of those akward adolescent years. Without the emo part though.

But I guess the reason we're having a discussion about The Flood in The Septagon is because the good ol' Septagon is the only place where we can talk about the Community without having to worry about mom jokes or Chuck Norris quips.

Though I'm sure half of you wouldn't mind if that started happening right now :-/

DO NOT DO IT! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING IT! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT NOT DOING IT!

And here's me thinking the flood will be the same when I come back...

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

That's not odd at all. Think about it - the main draw of this site (IMHO) is the community of people. Everybody here comes at first to check out things Bungie related, and such. Anybody sticking around after that is likely going to behave just as they do in any other social setting - talk about whatever comes to mind. Since there is only 1 forum that allows the off topic discussions of this type, well, that's where they'll go.

I have recently thought about the weirdness in the fact that the most active forum on this site generally has nothing to do with Bungie for the most part. Why do so many come to a Bungie fan-site to discuss so many things that have nothing to do with Bungie in the least? I'm not trying to insult anyone that participates in The Flood, that's their Bag, its just...strange, perhaps?

Humble? Good one Achronos!

Don't hurt me.

I'll be on my own side.

Achronos has a point; you can only discuss the tiny snippets of vague Halo 3 info for so long. That's where the Flood comes in.

  • 10.17.2006 2:15 PM PDT

My stance is, I am here for specific Bungie-relatedness. I discuss those other things elsewhere. I understand what Achronos has said and he is right. It is a great way to further your community involvment and understanding. I just don't feel the need to discuss all those others with this community and don't really always have the time. And that is why I have no friends.

That is all.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Rant, mind filling me in on why you feel such a compelling urge to be an ass? Do you really get that much pleasure out of degrading everyone you meet? Did you come here because the people around you finally grew tired of your constant negative attitude towards everything? I just don't understand it. Please, enlighten me.

That being said, the Flood is fine. I don't really think it needs changing, becuase, well, I don't think it can change.

I agree. I like the forums. It's a way to talk to people and see their opinion even though some have no idea what their talking about. If a person doesn't like the bungie forums then why is this person even on the bungie forums?

Pink, Rant, either talk about the Flood forum or PM each other.
