I have walked the edge of the Abyss.I have governed the unwilling.I have witnessed countless empires break before me.I have seen the most courageous soldiers fall away in fear.[I was there with the Angel at the tomb]
I have seen your future.
And I have learned.
There will be no more Sadness. No more Anger. No more Envy.
I HAVE WON.
Oh, and your poet Eliot had it all wrong:
THIS is the way the world ends.
a friend of a friend (Cortanas first letter)

Does anyone else here think that its the stupidest thing in the world that he was in the cryogen tube in his battle suit?!!?!?!
I mean srsly dude, apart from them not wanting to reveal his face, you cant wear a fully armored battle suit in there, it wouldnt work
Does anyone have a reasonable explanation for why it is so, or just want to winge with me about how stupid it is?

1: he was pressed for time getting off reach

2: when he woke up, he wouldnt have time to let the ONI ppls put on his suit.

3: Why in the players prespective, would you want to see a naked chief in the cryo tube?

lol

The suit has it's on in-suit temperate and all this stuff. So why couldn't of he been put in the cyrotube, so that people on the monitors can take control of what the suit used to do, that which the cyrotube cannot do.

Not just temperate, but other stuff.. I don't know what. Lol..

No, you're the only one who think it's stupid. Dude, why wouldn't he wear his battle suit in there?! It's a freaking cryogenic tube!

They were pressed for time. He had just gotten back to the Autumn with Linda's dead body, they had to do a blind jump in ordinance with the Cole Protocol, so that meant most of the crew had to go into stasis. They didn't have time for the Chief to get out of his armor and prep him for cryo-sleep, so he had to go in as-is, along with Linda.

How long was the trip from Reach to Alpha Halo?

Unless it was weeks/months I don't see the point in cryostasis.

^^ Good point there. However its a cool excuse to have no weapons, watch someone on the higher level get decapitated and have cortana say "it looks like they wanted to catch you napping".

And yes, if you're wearing anything in a cryostasis... well lets just say it wouldn't be any fun for your skin. That includes bandaids. But the suit has a gel layer or whatever around the wearers body - so would liquid/gel/stuff be bad too??

I think it took two weeks to get to Halo, but that's just from memory. And according to the crewman prepping the chief, wearing the suit in the cryotube would be blistering aggony for any normal human being.

Wasnt it, that MC needed to have some wounds healed, and CRYO would do it?

Um... I don't think that freezer burns would heal an open wound... If they do then cpo fraser is correct.

I thought it was because he would have been completely freezer burnt. lol stupid theory?
In the dialogue, the guy who checks to see if everythings alright says, "alright, everything looks normal. No freezer burn."

Why not? if his suit is attuned very closely to his body and etc it'd actually make some sense to have connections in it to allow for such storage which also allows for quicker deployment.
