Because you are what you eat, and you know what it is.

People would spam the forums with inactive threads.

You could always be quoted. :)

True, True. Tru7h. But, If someones says, "Geez HaloChick, that was stupid" And NOT quote it, I could like Edit it, or deleate it. I still don't think I am making sense.

Agreed, and if you wish to have your own thread locked your deleted. You should contact them at the gmail account shared by the b.net mods, private message them, or get on msn chat from their personal emails.

No. If you threaten a member, and he threatens to report it, you can delete the post.

Woudln't editting do the smae thing? Also, shouldn't moderators have some kind of a log of all your recent messages?

I know what you mean, but they could always just fabricate a quote...

True. If so, I would:
A: Ask them to change it in the forums.
B: PM them and ask them
C: (if it is bad) PM a mod about the situation.

I thought about it.......and concluded no.

It would put the mods out of a job.

And I like my job.

LoL, in all seriousness though, I would be concerned about people linking shock sites and then deleting it before the proper action can be taken.

And people would make spam threads and just lock them, LOL.

I can see the benefits of this though. But the ends don't justify the means when it's all said and done.

Doesn't editting do the same thing though? =S

  • 10.17.2006 6:33 PM PDT

What duffman said. That's what the edit ability is for. Being able to lock your own thread could have bad consequences for the community. You may only let ideas that prove or acknowledge your idea and lock it before others can get in the discussion. I think some would go on a create and lock frenzy if they had that ability. The mods do a good job as is.
