Subject: Should you be able to lock/delete your own threads?

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

it is called the 'edit button'. ;)

Nope, because then little kids would close them once they get flamed and owned.

Um, Won't that thread get locked or deleted anyway by a mod?

THINK!

No, where would be the accountability, If you say something on the forums and then delete it, it makes the forums seem as a joke. Like you can't post something meaningful so you delete it.

I do not trust that the members have the necessary devices to judge whether or not to delete or lock their threads. And it is irritating how you put delete in the same place as lock, there is an immense difference between the two.

Lock I can see as an extremely remote possibility but never delete. If you delete a thread you delete everyone's thoughts and ideas present in the thread, and even then you do not "truly" delete it. Yes, it may be full of meaningless items, but I do not have enough trust in the average member to make that judgment, we have moderators for a reason.
