Well, I know this isn't a forum for troubleshooting, but I need some quick help. I run all my games on a laptop, and most of the time the games i get run fine. I just need some help from someone who knows laptops and can tell me good things to upgrade on it before the release of H2V. Thanks in advance

Some Specs:
72 GB HDD
AMD Turion 64
972 MB RAM
ATI Radeon Xpress 200m

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

Just get some more ram, that is the only thing you can upgrade that will make a difference at all. you can get a bigger harddrive, but unless you get a 7200 rpm model all you will see is more space. But be warned that aa 7200rpm drive will drain your battery faster.

I doubt you could even run it with that X200m, you can't upgrade that or the cpu. If you need space get an external hard drive, but your hd is fine. RAM is fine for now, but another 512mb-1gb stick of ram won't hurt.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I was able to upgrade my vid card. But, I was already planning on getting a 1 gig stick.

Dude, I've got a laptop with similar if not the same specs as yours.

Compaq Presario v2000
AMD Turion64 @ 1.8GHz
Mobility ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
512 RAM (reduced to 380 because of the chipset)
60 GB HD

I'm not sure if the computer will run H2V, but I do know that it will have no problem running Vista full, with all eyecandy enabled. I would suggest a RAM upgrade (that's what I'm going for, coincidentally,) however, aside from that, everything else looks all right for general purpose and older games (HL2 should run spectacularly).

As for upgrading, there's not much you can do. The only things you can upgrade are usually the hard drive and RAM. Oh, and if yours has a PC Card slot, you could upgrade a little further in that. However, that's basically all you can do in terms of upgrades.
