Ok, for those who have read the Halo books know of the date that UNSC persons first landed on Halo was September 19. Now in the third book when MasterChief picks up his fellow Spartans and Dr. Halsey and that crystal that could bend time and space. The date was then the 22nd of Sept. They went into that different form of slipspace, and because of that crystal, they went back in time. When they arrived in normal space, the date was September 13th. Wouldnt they have thought about going back to Reach and Halo to try to stop the horrible events from occuring like they did? Wouldnt MC go back to Reach and make sure his Spartans did not die in that horrbly fast landing? Tell me what you think.

Time is speculative, Eagle 117 contends something different, I think it is along the lines of two seperate timelines.

Personally, I think that even if you do go back in time, that does not necessarily mean that the things that you already did have not already happened. I think in the 13th timeline, Reach is still blown up, etc. Because you are now in an ultimately different reality, so the 'before' you can not have any bearing on future course.

Nevermind, I think all the time travel answers you get will be speculative, and most likely, all wrong. I know I'm wrong, there are simply too many possibilities if time travel is used.
