To be honest, I am completely amazed that this site has not fallen apart. The tenacity it must take to keep this site running in a semi-straight line instead of zig-zagging across the universe is not something you find with other sites. The time that so many people have to put into site to keep it friendly is jaw dropping. I mean it would be easy for them to say "screw it" and just let the armies of mentally destitute members turn it into a flame war. But no. They stay disciplined and keep it as cool as they can. With thousands upon thousands of members and 7 forums and hundreds of groups to manage, it takes amazing organizational skill to keep this place functioning. If all the mods and all the Bungie staff were to take a day off, this place would be a living Hell.

Thanks for keeping it up guys.

(And this is a thank you and statement of respect, not an arse kissing. And yes, I always spell it "arse". Its the William Wallace in me.)

Wow, that's a burn waiting to happen... :-)

Yep, the people in charge of keeping this place up an running are doing a great job. There are the unforseen episodes of random acts of "Failure Exceptions", but that's usually fixed quite fast.

GJ everybody, GJ.

Location: Outlaws' Summit.

We should have a party at Bungie studios. $200.00 at most for a ticket to Washington State (First class, yo) and have a good 'ol fashioned celebration the place where it all happens.

I would love to sit in Achronos' chair ^_^

Good job, everybody. :) Um, and let's keep the man-love involving Achronos to a minimum, that creeps me out. ...

On second thought, let's keep ALL the man-love to a minimum.

News? Podcasts? Machinima? Active forums? Competitions? Jaffa Cakes!? OMG!
Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

Indeed. There are complaints. Many of them valid, but it all boils down to comparing these forums and the entire site with the competition. There is a clear seperation in quality. Bungie is way ahead. Again.

TO THE NEIGHBOR'S!!!

This site does seem to have a draw for the exceptional. Exceptional burning man love for one, but also a great deal of people with great minds and personalities. This community will go on forever, well... like Rome forever.

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

I agree with you for the most part. The Halo 3 forum however...

Yeah, thats a very different story.

Well you gotta consider the fact that it is relatively new compared to the other forums; it'll take some time to get all the kinks worked out of it.

The only coin for which I have to purchase loyalty is honor.

Prognatus Archos

Many companies can create a forums page look at Bethesda with their elder scrolls forums for example. The thing in my mind that really sets this place apart is the fan group system. I have never seen any other forum that has been able to get the group system as good as it is here. In addition the ability to manage such a colossal community is shocking, one would expect total anarchy to have broken out by now.
