Is it possible for someone to be..lets say...over-contributive? What I mean by that is this:
Lets say someone makes about severalt threads a day, but they're all really good, interesting, and valid threads. Could this be considered wrong? Even though they are good threads? I mean I know it would be hard for someone to do so, but still. Would it be considered "over-posting"? I was just wondering because I realized that I made several threads in a close time proximity with each other. They all had good thread life and stayed on topic. But it made me wonder, "Am I making too many threads, no matter how good they are?"

News? Podcasts? Machinima? Active forums? Competitions? Jaffa Cakes!? OMG!
Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

So long as they do not break the rules and are seperate subjects, or not strongly linked, then by all means; rack up the threads.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

Provided they are not all based on the same basic topic, or repeats of old topics, or against the rules, I don't think there's a problem.

Darn that Ciaran...

............No u?

And to contribute.........crap, I just realized I used the word contribute :-)

But it'll stay there anyway, LoL

Anywho, to contribute to the topic, I'll say it's fine if you make a lot of threads. As long as they are something interesting to discuss. Maybe try not to make them in such a close interval (though I never noticed) because it's more or less better that way.

Oh, and Shorty.........wtf HAXX??? LOLOLOLOL

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

It does get irritating seeing the same people do the same things in thread after thread after thread, so I say yes. Sometimes you just need to take a break from the forum.

If you can come up with several good threads, that are not all copies then be my guest post away.

You can always just not visit those threads. Maybe somebody really really likes theorizing on stuff. The forums are here for people to express themselves. The mods are here to let you know when you express yourself too much. So just post and if its not a good idea or its bothering someone then a mod will lock it. Thats when you take a break. When a mod "hints" at it.

My suggestion was more of a dream and less of a suggestion. I doubt these people would figure out who they are and, once they did, I don't think they'd cut down on their posts. It doesn't bother me that much, so I suppose you might be right.

Strange evolution how people have come to believe

The key word is contribute. Hitting the reply button does not constitute contributing. A contribution would be adding something to a thread that wasnt there before you replied. Simply agreeing (or disagreeing) with the original poster without adding why you agree (or disagree) doesnt add anything to the thread.

Some members feel the need to contribute to every thread on B.net.

Example:
OP: Halo is a good game
Reply: Yes. Youre right, Halo is a good game.

This is more of a rant against those who have to see thier name in every thread on this site.

"I pledge to punch all switches, to never shoot where I could use grenades, to admit the existence of no level except Total Carnage, to never use caps lock as my "run" key, and to never, ever, leave a single BoB alive."

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

Contributing in my opinion is added your own perspective to something, not just agreeing with everyone. When someone brings something unique to the community or topic, then things can be fun and interesting. I don't like to glance at large topics due to a lack of "originality."
