I've started playing PiD again after many years of not even playing it at all..

I've already gone upward to ascension and got the alien pipe and blue and yellow crystals. i've just found the Purple crystal.

I'm currently on the level, "Labrynthe",
Does anyone remember what the purple crystal does, how far down I have to go before I find the silver and gold keys, and a MP-41?

Levels i've been through so far;
Ascension
lock and Load
Never Stop Firing
Ground Floor
But they are so slow..
Feel the Power
Plague of Demons
Wrong Way
Welcome tasty primate
Watch out for low flying Nightmares.

Critters i've met so Far:

Headless
Bone Zombie
Shade
Ooze
Nightmare
Shock Orb
Wraith
Ghoul

Ach! Was ist los?

I think the purple crystal does something to Specters, but I don't exactly remember.

--Sgt. Smith also started playing this one again in recent weeks.

Not that I know of...I guess you could play it using a mac emulator or something.

I don't know if I want anything like an emulator on my system... Especially not in light of recent events.

That game just looked awesome.

He's referring to emulators like Basilisk II, which, as far as I know, are perfectly legal, as you have to provide your own copy of Mac OS.

--Sgt. Smith certainly hopes they're legal.

Nevermind, question answered. I'm installing it as I write this, and I
hope it works. =)

Last time I checked, basilisk II required a copy of Mac OS (7.5 works well, and can be downloaded off apple's site) and a dump of an older Mac ROM. It's getting the ROM that is the tricky bit, as I think you need to own the Mac you dump the ROM off. Not sure how that has changed through, or if there are better emulators that emulate the ROM as well.

I do have the demo if any one wants it (I'm assuming it's legal to share the demo...)

Ach! Was ist los?

Which, the A1 or the 2.0?

'Cause I'd really like to get my hands on the A1 demo, just for historic purposes.
