Yo just wanderin, title says it all.

Im also want you people to see if these simple specs would run the game:

AMD Athlon 4200+ X2 Dual Core
2 GIG Double Sided 512mb RAM Corsair
Nvidia Geforce 7900GTX (512 MB)

Im thinking of getting more RAM for Xmas and H2V And the OS as a late Xmas present :D.

Thanks for reading, Spartan 012.

Two gigs is more than enough, I believe.

Halo 2 Vista will be compatible with DirectX 9 cards so I think that chances are Halo 2 Vista will work well with the specs you have now. Also, stop showing off. These specs aren't "simple". :)

Gaming Systems:
Intel Core i7 720QM (4 cores, 8 threads)
4Gb DDR3-1333mhz
1Gb AMD Radeon HD 4650
Windows 7 64bit

Xbox 360 w/ 20Gb HDD (2008 edition) & XBL Gold.

No, Halo 2 Vista will probably not even use 1Gig of RAM. Don't forget, the original version for the Xbox was running with just 64Mb of RAM available! For a PC with Vista, i would say 512Mb of RAM will be minimum and 1Gb Recommended. Heh, those are not cheap specs! How ppl think they can be, even if showing off *ahem* :P, is beyond me. 2Gb of RAM is amply ample, so you won't probably have trouble with games for about 3 years :P

I'm just looking forward to getting my lush new Intel Core 2 rig, with ~1.5Gb of RAM and a Geforce 8800GT, everything will look lush on that :D.

Ah, but you forget! Windows Vista will barely be able to operate at one gigabyte. Two gigs are all that's necessary, I think.

The few, the proud, the leet.

You'll be fine with any amount of RAM if you're running Aero. I personally think you should have two gigs for Vista to begin with, though. From what I've seen, there are going to be a lot of memory intensive apps that will be cycling info from RAM to GRAM often enough that if you have to cache it on a hard drive you'll have tons of noticeable slowdown.

You're set for both Vista and H2V recommended specs. Of course, you'd know this if you looked at the FAQ. :P

Hmmm... might get an SLI Board instead and get another 7900GTX lol, but might aswell get some more RAM for future gaming, after the ram is the graphics card n board.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

Crysis only needs 1.5 Gb RAM I believe, so H2V wouldn't need any more than 1.5.
Crysis has a lot more going on that H2V...Every leaf moves...lol.

Probably not, if Halo2 Vista were to be released at the end of Vista's service life the graphics and requirements would probably be a lot higher. Most games that come out around the beginning of a platforms life have slightly crappier graphics than when a game comes out near the end of said products life. Just due to the research and techniques that are acquired during the platforms lifespan.

I think 512mb Ram should be minimum and 1gb recommended.

I just hope my Radeon x1300 can run decently.

Highly doubtful that it'll need more than 2 gig.

I'd say 2 gigs to be safe. It's not like RAM is super-expensive.

For everyone saying 512MB minimum and 1GB recommended, it's time for an upgrade. Seriously. F.E.A.R. asks for a minimum of 512MB; does it mean it's going to look pretty? Hell no. You probably won't even make it to the double digits in FPS. Meeting the minimum requirements is like finishing second to last place in the special olympics. Hell, F.E.A.R. with 1GB doesn't even look that pretty. Don't even get me started on the graphic cards...

Basically it's like this; Halo 2 is getting an overhaul, as we all know, so cope with it. AA, higher res, improved textures, and HDR will not equate 512MB minimum and 1GB recommended.

Hell, even Oblivion's minimum in RAM is 512MB, and you know all that will do is start up the game and get you as far as the main menu.

all we are talking about is what they will put on the minimum specs.

I think they will say 512 is a minimum, i dont care, i have a pwnage rig.

I probably wont get h2v anyway, h2 sucks.

Right, and both games are going to be exactly alike. Also, mods anyone? You honestly don't think Dest/other modders won't work on H2CE for H2V?
