- Intel 3 733mhz overclocked to 866mhz (like that helps!)
- 512mb ram (too much for my processor, not dual chnl)
- 32mb matrox graphics (you should see my halo screenshots!)
- 40 gig hard drive (not enough for my needs)
- Speakers are from a 10 year old sony walkman, on max volume it sounds like a mouse squeeking!
- Tiny 15inch monitor that has a faulty power button
- Keyboard buttons sound crunchy when pressed
- Mouse double clicks 7/10 times even though it gets clicked once!

I wish I was the guy above with the awesome specs! Donations are welcome...

For the vid card, I'll upgrade to a 7900GS...I hear it's pretty good. Any word on how it is for Crysis or FEAR or BF2142?

Naw, don't waste your money on a 7900GS. Spend the same amount of money (and maybe even less) on an X1900GT and get WAY better performance. Trust me on that.

The X1900GT will be great for FEAR and BF2142. It's basically a great card until you decide to upgrade to DX10, which doesnt have to be anytime soon. Hell, I'm going to keep mine for at least a year.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Meh, my PC kinda sucks:
CPU - Intel Pentium 4 3.06 GHz
RAM - 512 MB DDR PC3200
Motherboard - Some ASUS crap, no PCI-E or AGP
Graphics - Intel GMA 900. It barely runs Halo, opting for a Radeon X1300.
Sound - Freakin integrated.
Hard Drive - 160 GB 7200 RPM. The only good thing.
Monitor & Speakers - Don't ask. Only the speakers are cool.

Okay, I'll look into that X1900, how much is it?

Also, I'll probably get a system for $699 from HP, no monitor...Athlon X2 4200+, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, and I'll get a $150 LCD monitor on the side.

I'll upgrade from the Nvidia 6150LE that comes with the system, to an ATI X1900GT or a Geforce 7900GS for under $20 hopefully when I need to...

Yes, but we all know that the Radeon X1950 XTX > X1950PRO>X1900GT
It's the fastest GPU on the market. If you're rich, I say buy two of these just to laugh at your friends.

Thats like comparing a $4 bottle of mineral water with a $0.50 bottle of water you buy at a convience store in the middle of nowhere. Ones the budget version, ones the top-of-the-line model.
