I'm certifiable.

I'm sticking with IE 6 on my mobile computer for now, as it's a tablet and some folks are reporting that the Tablet Input Panel doesn't always work properly in web forms (like, say, the post windows here) under IE7. I'll wait a bit to see if this clears up or proves to be a glitch on those guys' systems; still, I'm itching to try out B.net on my mobile in 7's full-screen mode.

-- Steve should probably try it out on the desktop soon. 7 sounds nifty.

The official supported browser list for bungie.net is as follows:

IE 7
IE 6
Firefox 1.5 or greater
Safari, most recent version

List of browsers that will likely work, but we don't test them much
Opera (need most recent version)
Mozilla
IE 5.5

Browser that will never ever ever work because it is sooooo buggy: IE for the Mac.

if you don't like the firefox bugs then use the I.E tab. it is pretty sweet. And thanks tom for supporting both formats.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Mozilla's always worked great for me. No problems so far =]

I use Opera, and it works flawlessly. The only issues I seem to get is a delay in scolling on the main forum pages...any fixes?

  • 10.23.2006 6:51 PM PDT

Safari is flawless for me...

The real question is...

Does IE7 also have tabbed browsing?

If so, then I may just switch to IE.

I'll be on my own side.

Yes, IE7 has tabbed browsing. It works great.

Any word on PIE? (Portable Internet Explorer) or any of the other browsers for mobile devices? With the increase in web availability onto handheld devices, I don't know what the access stats show, but I would imagine that more people are at least trying this site from their phone/pda/psp.

Yes, I have. On my psp, I went to bungie.net, and it was pretty bad. But that's very understandable. What else should I expect from PIE *giggles*? I didn't even sign in. Getting to The Flood was hard enough.

Can someone tell me where to get 2.0? I checked Firefox.com, and all it had was 1.5.
Get it here.

I didn't think that was a bug. I thought it was implemented to stop the bypassing of the -blam!- filter. Ah. Well, then that needs to be looked into...

No, what it does is that certain characters (like the TM symbol) cause it to deliver a exceed word count error. It happens a lot when I attempt to copt text from another site or location... even if it doesn't appear to contain strange characters.

I tried IE 7, didn't really like it. Its a HELL of a lot better than 6, but I can't browse without my plug-ins...

I just upgraded. It does run a lot smoother for me. I only wish the maker of my favorite theme would update so I can use it again...

Uh, no. Sounds like your mouse or IE settings are messed up.

And to the guy who was getting missing images... clear your cache and cookies. Seems like you got some bad copies in there. You may also have a buggy proxy in between us and your browser - not much I can do about that.

IE 7 sucks, personally. Anyone else have all the page's links open in new tabs when you try to mouse-wheel scroll?

Our computer and network guru told us that IE 7 is having problems with some Web Applications. For me, I was having problems accessing my school's email, a chemistry site, and my class registration site. I guess an update is coming out within the next week to remedy this problem with the new IE 7. I've heard that some of the newer flash files are having a problem also, but I haven't experienced this yet. I prefer Mozilla since I rarely have a problem with it. Also, some places (schools, offices, etc.) that require you to go through security software, have been having a problem with licensing.

I cleared everything and now i can click where the buttons are supposed to be and they take me to the correct places, but the buttons are not actually there. Any answers for that one? please say yes!

I use both firefox and IE, but i use IE for bungie because for some reason bungie lags a helluva lot on firefox (most likely cause i have a crap comp and the coding or something for firefox isnt uber fast... or not)

But i mostly prefer the compact design of IE 7, while the bookmarks for Firefox are mostly why i use that, and the automatic sign ins.
