7950GX2 benchmarks higher than any ATI card.
I'm sorry but you're wrong. You may have noticed I haven't posted for sometime but some of the discussion on the forum now just doesn't seem relevant to me. I don't care about what your skill level is at, or how good your computer system is...I came here because I didn't own an Xbox (my parents never wanted to buy me a console) and yet, when I picked up Halo PC in a store several years ago I was engaged by the riveting story, the superb graphics, and the fun and immersive gameplay. I love Bungie with what they've created, and the connection they've had with their fans. I've been saving up money lately, and once Halo 3 comes out I'm buying an Xbox 360 to play it. I don't care that I'm a PC gamer, I can be both. You may think I'm a "tool" to Microsoft for doing that, but if it means playing a game I want to play then so be it. I don't feeling like waiting another 2 or more years for it to come out on PC, and then be forced to upgrade once again. So if this is one of the last posts I make then don't be surprised. Don't worry...it's not entirely your fault.
Back on topic, I was reading a recent issue of PC World in the school library and read an interesting article that seems to contradict Nessy, I found the same article, more-or-less online: HERE
I personally have a Nvidia FX 5600XT, but I can't ignore the benchmarks. The ATI Asus EAX1900XTX clearly performed the best. But there may be other factors and specifications that make them very different. For example, I read in the article that the Nvidia 7950GX2 has 24 pipelines, while the ATI card only 16. However ATI decided to instead make their card have a record-breaking number of pixel shaders. So you decide which is better, I'm no computer expert.
