Support for the PC version of Halo falls to Gearbox, not Bungie.
Unfortunately, Gearbox seems to be too busy milking Brothers in Arms to do much for HPC now.
Actually, you are quite wrong there. Support of Halo is the decision of Bungie. Gearbox can't do a damned thing to their game unless Bungie says they do.
I think what he means is that only Gearbox can do anything for Halo.
Sorry mate you were denied the ability to correct a ninja...it just wasn't your day.
No, judging from his sarcasm, he meant Gearbox could make decisions for HPC; it can't. Bungie told them what they can and cannot do, and, as you can see, they care so much about the game that you can't even find it listed on the side toolbar anymore. Also, when's the last time Bungie ever featured mods/maps/websites for the HPC community? If there is someone who is in charge of doing an update, it would be Bungie giving Gearbox the OK to do so.
Also, the aimbot was due to a leak from Bitterbanana's Zelda cam project, which, in its beta stage, locked onto targets with leading included. There is nothing as a community as a whole can do; what, do you expect us to magically make a program like Anti-Cheat? Sure, just let me fire up the ol' programming crapolla and start making me a program that would deal with the mess of HPC's netcode! It also only works for 1.07 because that's what Bitter was beta'ing for. Of course, he did not mean for it to be leaked, and on his site he provides a link to a fake aim bot which, when the program is ran, flips the screen upside down.
Of course, I don't know the full details about Bitterbanana's involvement, and I'm sure someone from Gearbox will correct me.
