I'm really bored right now so don't blame me if it's already been posted. If all you're gonna do is flame, then leave 'cause no one wants to hear. However, if you feel like adding to this, or say something against it, (so long as you don't flame) then go right ahead.

Ok. 343GS stated that Halo04 had a maximum effective radius of 25,000 light years right? Yeah. So then I was wondering, how long would Halo take to shoot something as far as 25,000 light years? My guess is that whatever Halo fires goes faster than light, or slips into slipspace and gets out every so often to cause some damage. Also, if you were in slipspace while all the Halo's fired would you be affected? And am I dreaming, or did 343GS also state that a being with enough cognitive bio-mass AND cognitive capabilities was also subject to the Flood? Or perhaps something else was?

I'm Rick James b***h!!

There's a lot of holes in the Halo universe - speaking non-literally - so it's hard to see or find out what exactly Halo's weapon is, and how far or widespread or fast it actually is

And don't worry about the flamers; there are usually about 10 good people to every "flamer"

Are you sure it's the fourth Halo? He said installation 4. It could be building number four. You know, the one you got warped onto.

Sorry if this sounds like flaming, or if it's off topic.

It was referring to Halo itself. To be safe and effective the Forerunner would have had to of built 14 Halos in all to wipe the galaxy clean. (That is assuming of course that every 25,000 light years there is another Halo)

LOL, how long did it take you to figure that one out. You must have been quite bored that day, huh?

Ok, guessing the fact that it travels the speed of light or greater, you can calculate the maximum time it will reach its outer boundary.

Light year= 9,500,000,000,000 kilometers
Blast radius= 25, 000 light years

(9.5 x 10^13) x 25, 000 = 237,500,000,000,000,000 kilometers

Speed of light = 299,792.458 km/s

237,500,000,000,000,000 / 299,792.458 = 792214726095.61111774199469687793

So, the maximum time the blast will reach its boundary is:

* 792214726095.61111774199469687793 seconds or
* 13203578768.260185295699911614632 minutes or
* 220059646.13766975492833186024386 hours or
* 9169151.9224029064553471608434942 days or
* 1309878.8460575580650495944062135 weeks or
* 327469.71151438951626239860155336 months or
* 27289.142626199126355199883462780 years

It took me ten minutes. I am already an astronomy buff as is. All I had to do was put the unmbers together, draw a little picture for help, and I had the answer.
