The title of the topic explains it all....do you think it will. Seems like a dumb question but think about it, even for a DVD, 18 maps plus single player and tons of other features to store takes up just too much room. So will you have to download or buy the seperate?

Even though Master Kims going to kill me for this, microsoft might release a map pack for...money *gasp*

They'll most likely save the best maps for the inevitable expansion pack labelled "Attack of the Flood". Where You! play as the flood! Of course they'll put it out for Xbox first, then release it for PC a couple years later that finally comes with the multiplayer map pack that was originally desired.

Behold, the Way of Micro$ith!

DVD drives come as standard in all new comps, don't they?

Think about this. Halo Xbox is a DVD but Halo PC was packed on a single CD-ROM with new maps, vehicles, and weapons.

Good point, but halo PC doesn't look nealy as complex as H2v (from what I saw, and I saw lots of 720p video) contrat, bump mapping lighting etc. are all WAY up. And live anyware and the map maker and software so that people can play those maps.

Even though halo came on one disk, I dought this one will unless on a DVD.

Just because Xbox is a DVD doesn't mean Bungie uses all of the space on a DVD. The game might also fit on a CD because there was no split screen play, so no lines of extra code to put in the game.

I just hope that the map editor comes with a terrain generator.
Maps for PC can be compressed a helluva lot more than the Xbox version. I mean, the Xbox can hardly decompress the maps every time you put the disk in.

Yes, they most doubtly ship with the CD; it would seem ridiculous for them to not ship them or ship them seperately on a different CD that you would also buy. Of course, my hopes in Vista have dropped drastically in the last few hours, mainly because of all this Halo 3 leaked crapolla; I doubt we'll get any new vehicles or weapons now. I'm going to fix the FAQ a bit at that part.

I'm sure there will be plenty of fan made addon vehicles in the first few months after the release of H2V. Personally I'm hoping for someone to change the vehicle speed back to Halo 1 levels. Using a vehicle in Halo 2 is about as much fun as racing rocks.

What the hell? I doubt it. If they're going to add any additional content, it's going to come with the game. The multiplayer map pack add-on for the Xbox version will probably have all its maps already added into the final version of H2 Vista.

CD is obsolet. The DVD is slowly becoming obsolet too. I think by like 4 years we'll be installing games with USB flash memory.

Thats something I have always wondered. Why don't we use modified memory sticks for games? There is little chance of breaking it (scratched disks anyone?), they are cheaper to make (i have a 2 gig drive that only cost me 20 bucks), and they are a lot more convenient.

Also, a computer is more likely to have a USB drive than a DVD drive...

Uh, no. This is what will replace DVD. 25GB to one disc.

At the current price it takes to produce one of those? I think not.

There was a time when it took a lot of capital to produce CDs as well; now look at us. It's called the business world; those things will start selling like hotcakes soon enough. Though I do hate Sony, I have a feeling they'll have the last laugh, because the industry is sure enough to pick up on this technology; it always was. Remember when LCD monitors were $2,000 when they first came out? Now look around; $199 at Newegg.com.

Blu-Ray is too advanced anyway. I doubt that there will be a single game on the PS3 that will take up all 25 gigs. Honestly, Blu-Ray shouldn't have been tapped until much later.
