Lookway over to the right, at the top. Total bytes served: 68.24 TERABYTES and counting.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

The title of the topic explains it all....do you think it will. Seems like a dumb question but think about it, even for a DVD, 18 maps plus single player and tons of other features to store takes up just too much room. So will you have to download or buy the seperate?

Even though Master Kims going to kill me for this, microsoft might release a map pack for...money *gasp*
IMO M$ will release all the maps with the game, and dont be afraid of kim hes just a kid behind a computer screen.

Just a quick point on the whole 'discs' issue. You're all thinking FAR too inside the box. I'd say within a short (well, ok, in terms of 50 years) time practically ALL hard mediums for transferring software is going to be vanishing. Internet connections are getting better, to the point that whole games can be bought and downloaded online securely - look at Steam and Valve, Invtroversion Software and a number of other sites. They still sell hard copies, but Intro. Soft. especially makes most of their sales online. The internet is the way forwards, people.

However, discs with more maps on them immediately would be much nicer especially for those currently with 56k modems *hint hint bungie*

Never thought of that. It's probably going to take something like five years because so many people refuse to swich to DSL. But I don't think transfering games over the internet will replace buying disks at the store because unless you have something like T3, it takes a long time to download a modern game. I still think we'll be using USB memory next.

That won't happen for decades. Some people in parts of the U.S./world don't even live in a location where anything but 56k is supported. Also, we were talking about the future of CDs; you can't store terabytes of information with an internet connection, nor can you on your hard drive. CDs are generally used as storage devices when you want to make a back up of something just in case something happens to your computer. It's pretty much open-ended from then on as well.

That's like Saddam Hussein saying, "Don't worry about George W. Bush, he's just another military dictator." If anything, you are just a kid behind a monitor.

Anyhoo, I'm fourteen, so technically, I'm a teenager or a young adult. :P
