Some people say they beat certain levels rather quickly, and I am serprized at the people that say they beat the last few levels so quick. I can understand if your timing your self you want to go as quick as possable but how do you normaly play and do you normaly take short cuts or or make lil cheets?

Do you wizz threw the Library and 2Betryles in an hour each and only shoot half the foes or do you take longer and shoot at everything?

Do you normaly take short cuts or do you play it out?

I was short on time tonight before I came to work and because I just got a new xbox, Ive been playing a level a day (just on legendary) to finish the game before H2 comes out and to open up all the levels so I can play any one I want. Tonight was 2Betryles and I had only an hour. I skipped a bunch of stuff (a lot of stuff actualy haha) and finnished it up before having to leave an hour later for work. But normaly Im not rushed and when shooting at everyone that level can take twice as long to do at a good speed. Same as the library, if you just keep running forward with your SG just a blazin it takes a lot less time then actualy killing everything. And you notice when you plow threw not as many enimys attack/load. (ect. hallways where the flood jump down from the ceiling, theres normaly 5-6 waves of them, or if you run threw, theres only 1-2 waves of flood...this all makes a big difference in how long it takes you to play a level.

Anyways, Im interested to know how ppl play, this might explain certain times on levels where if you were shooting everyone...those times would just not possable.

If you time yourself, what was your best time on what level and (((how did you play it?)))

I've never timed myself on anyother level then 2B last night and it was only because I was watching the clock and couldnt be late for work haha. So dont ask me what my times are yet, I havent timed anyothers. But heres an exaple of the info im lookin for...

2B - 1 hour - skipped probably half the level

Well, which difficulty are you talking about? Normal, Hoeroic, Legendary... EASY? That can change the length of your gameplay. Personally, after beating Halo so often, I end up just trying to do stunts and tricks while playing the level. Especially when I get the Warthog on... any level...

I never do speedruns. I like to go through the levels and kill every last living creature that I happen to come across. I'm not exactly sure what my times are for all the levels that I play in this manner. I did a speed run only once before, and it took me two hours and twelve minutes and forty-five seconds to complete the game. I know it's probably far from the fastest, but eh, what the hell, it was just for fun.

I dont want any attention from you so wont worry about it, go find someone who cares about your spelling skillz.

My hour run on 2B was on legendary. I hardly ever skip stuff (and when I do its just to get a better position like snipping from the bridge down at everyone near the end of that level.) But from finel run I dont think I shot anyone, just raced threw because I was really getting short on time. That whole part can take 30 mins to do on legendary and kill them all, think flying threw and just not getting shot that last heavy part was done in 5-7 mins haha.

Ive never tryed a speed run threw the whole game...What level of dificulty did you race threw on ShootMe088? 2 hours 12 mins...that sounds really fast, maybe on normal I could do that...horoic maybe. I only ever play on Legendary, would be fun to run threw and dominate on normal...

Yeah, I did it on normal. I was just curious to see how long it would take me. Plus I ran by almost all the enemies, so I finished quite quickly.I'm with you, I have'nt played anything but legendary in the last couple months, just warming up for Halo 2.

I normally play through methodiacally wiping out every enemy. I usually find in later difficulties, that if i dont i have flood etc comin up from behind and in front. Some levels (such as Two betrayals) i play some parts of them over and over by reverting to saved just before the checkpoints. I do the banshee fights etc (god i like dog fights, but god are the elites -blam!- at flying).

On legendary I can beat The Maw in about 13-15 minutes, The P of A in about 13-15, The Silent Cartographer in about 25 minutes, Halo in about 30 minutes, 343 GS in about 20-25 minutes. Thats about it, the other levels I don't really play anymore.

just yesterday i did the silent cartographer on heroic in 6 minutes. It was coop but my partner was always lagging behind... I'm sure legendary wouldn't be too much harder. The only part i messed up was i couldn't push myself through the security door with the hog so i decided to just back it up so my partner would go through.
