Gaming Systems:
Intel Core i7 720QM (4 cores, 8 threads)
4Gb DDR3-1333mhz
1Gb AMD Radeon HD 4650
Windows 7 64bit

Xbox 360 w/ 20Gb HDD (2008 edition) & XBL Gold.

I have partially played Halo 2 campaign on the Xbox...i'm not embarrased to say i like the story quite a lot actually :P. That's just me though. Meep.

I agree, Master_Dragon. Despite what everybody thinks about the H2 Campaign, it's not that bad. I appreciate its linear levels more than most people do.

It's not the storyline I have a problem with, I actually like it quite a bit, What I really hate the most is the atmosphere is killed compared to halo. It's quite hard to explain, but basically halo:combat evolved just felt more "real".But like I said, this topic could be argued to death and this just isn't the place to do it.

Quite so Demon Seraph; if you want to have an intelligent discussion about it you can mosey your way to H2S.

I have already, if you check out the "your halo story" (i think that's what it is) section I have myself a rant and share my story. I argue things from time to time but im not an arguing/posting type so I haven't said a lot of things.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

You guys are blowing this way out of proportion. It's. Supposed. To. Be. That. Way.

Mind you, I have an X1600XT 512RAM PCI-E with 2GB of RAM; took the screen shot at max settings at 1280x1024 and then I resized it to 800x640. Please, explain to me the differences between his picture and mine.
yours has a banshee in it..................

Antistropic filtering doesn't do anything, so like I said, I guess I'll just get used to it.

What? Yes, it does! It makes Halo look significantly better.

Do you actually know what it does? It makes far out textures appear more clear insted of blurry. And that has nothing to do with his problem(?).

^ Like i said, lol.

I think the thing is with Halo 2 it involves Earth, that's the crucial factor that put some people off. Involving Earth made some people feel a bit weird i think, considering all of Halo 1 was completely unrelated to Earth. I think it's great though, brings home what the Covenant are really aiming at...

Heyyo,

Now, true, Halo doesn't support AA or AF. BUT, if you use custom drivers, such as Omega Drivers, you can enable temporal anti-aliasing. It works, but it's just not as optimized as normal AA is all, so it'll run a bit slower than norm AA style.

Quote from:OmegaDrivers.net FAQ
What does the T2 and T3 value in the "Full Scene Anti-Aliasing" setting mean?
Those additional settings are the "Temporal Anti Aliasing" values, they control the TAA multiplier. The TAA value found in normal ATI drivers is equivalent to the T2 value found here, this will effectively multiply the FSAA value by 2, that means, if you set the FSAA value to 4xT2, you will be getting 8xFSAA at the same speed of 4x. The T3 value is just an experimental option that multiplies the TAA by 3, that means if you use 4xT3 you would be getting 12xFSAA, but it may or may not work for some of you, all depends on what type of card, monitor and refresh rate combination you use.

.........

What is the difference between Anisotropic Quality, Performance and Forced?
The Performance and Quality options found here do the same function as in the normal ATI drivers, Performance mode uses bilinear filtering while Quality uses an optimized trilinear filtering mode that is angle dependant. The new Forced mode behaves just like the Quality mode, but it "forces" full trilinear filtering with no optimizations on any game. Some games, like Halo, can see great benefit from this setting since the game always forces bilinear filtering. This mode is also a little slower than the normal Quality setting.

Since you say you're using an ATI Radeon 9550, I don't recommend using the temporal AA and the forced AF modes since the game will run really close to a crawl in big gunfights, but if ya wanna give it a shot anywho...

Anywho, I myself, I love the look of it, cause it makes it feel all futuristic with special futuristic style zooming... or something... trick of the mind to keep me from thinking the game's supposed to be prettier I guess. :)
