Brains beats brawn get used to it

Fear the Red Comet

Variety is the spice of life.
Long live games.
Death to all fanboys.

Sweetnesss I got it an hour ago!!!

So far it awesome, though the book physically seems odd. Like when I was at the store I totally expected to be looking for a book same size as the old ones but it turned out taller. Also (read about 153 pgs. so far) kinda odd that there were many typos, out or order word phrases, and confusion of identity.

1) Typo: many mispelled words

2) Some Jumbled Words: Words were out of order in three sentences I could find that completely don't make sense

3) Confusion of Identity: Characters refer to other characters by wrong name or pronoun. Weirdest example was during one of the training excercise chapters they refered to one character as a she the first half, but then in the second they refer to her as a she.

Otherwse the plot is awesome so far!!! 4.9/5!!!!!

Yup, mine is en route from Amazon as this thread is being posted in. Eric Nylund's previous Halo books were AMAZING, I hope this one is just as great ;)

What time period does this book cover?

I won't play throught the story for Halo2 until I get H2Vista so if it is set during or after it I want to wait until I finish the Halo2 campaign so I don't ruin the storyline.

Ive had the same prob with the availability. i live in toronto and went to chapter's site EVERY DAY since the book was supposed to be released, but no luck. if someone knows, please post the release date for the book in Canada. As to someone comment on the next monitor being 383, it probably wont. they go in multiples of seven(according to someones very convincing theory posted in the mombassa forum, i think).

Great book. I recomend it to any Halo fan, though its not necessary to enjoy the games. Along with the other books, It gives the games a depth and complexity that just keeps you at attention, and wanting to jump in the action... With Halo 3 we'll get to do just that once again:)

ya they call kelly a "HE" in one part, and that threw me way off, the only thing thats ticks me off is that if bungie doesnt follow the book, then there WONT be other spartans in halo 3

enough with cliff hanger endings!!!!!!!

hey bungie, how many more book are gonna be made, i heard 2 years ago that there were 9 in the process of being made and more recently i heard that this is one of 2 being made.

got it last friday and have to say that it is the perfect halo book for halo worshipers. It fills in all the missing pieces and gives alot of new info too. Nyllund did a terrific job on the book as he always does. Hats off to Ghosts of Onyx and may all halo freaks read it.
Two thumbs up and a hella great time

That's why they make sequels, because they have ideas left over.

the story is amazing, but the end leaves you empty once again, just as the end of "First Strike" and Halo 2 did. The saddest book in all the series IMO, but also the best.

Does anybody know if the story has any bearing on Halo 3?
