I heard there will be no E3 this year. Or ever again or something. I don't have sources, don't ask for them.

  • 10.30.2006 2:36 PM PDT

I think it's supposed ot be an all developers/press release show from now on.

I am sad too, because I could have gone if I wanted to, and always said, "I'll go next year"

I heard you beat up a barista at Starbucks Cayote, so you aren't allowed outside the Puyallup city limits anymore.

it always was. they've just renamed it the E3expo or something and made it invite only, instead of letting every tom dick and raul with a letter signed by sony in.

Man that sucks.
I guess im just going to have to sneak in pretending to be a pizza delivery guy or something.

  • 10.30.2006 3:21 PM PDT

I don't understand why they would do this, E3 was enormously successful. Why change it?

It was most likely developers complaining that it was too crowded for them to see everything while they were there thats my guess but I don't know, that really sucks though ive always wanted to go to E3.

E3 was shut down for ineffectiveness. It was too expensive for the developers to put on a good show, and it didn't generate enough hype in most cases.

Well then. I'll Bring E3 to Me.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Cool, E3 at Cayote's house. I'll bring the beer and obscure Halo 3 video that shows us nothing about the game.

There is good news that comes out of the E3 downsize though. PAX '07 promises to be bigger than ever. I've been planning on pre-ordering tickets whenever they become available. If you want to see/play games that aren't released yet, and meet the developers of your favorite games, then I suggest you look into PAX. Not to mention a lot of the Bungie Team goes every year, and that alone should be enough to get you interested.

Not only do you have to be 18 to get into E3 but you have to be part of some kind of media whether it be a magazine journalist or part of a news show. You can also get in if you're famous.

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

E3 isn't gone, just downsized to a small press confrence with some major media reps and the companies in a single room. It is no longer the party-like event that it was, but is more of a press confrence. Besides, E3 was never open to the public before.

  • 10.30.2006 6:23 PM PDT

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Yeah, you can't get into E3. This doesn't really belong here and it's kind of a moot point, so I'm locking it.
