Are a few new weapons, vehicles, and stuff worth buying Halo PC? I wanna know because I've got $30 and and I need somewhere to throw it. I'll probably get it just for online multiplayer, but I have the demo for that. So, is it worth buying the full game?

Yes. It's worth it. Just make sure your computer is beefy.
If you're buying Halo for PC for the new vehicles/guns, there is also a free downloadable version of Halo multiplayer (for those who legally own a retail copy of Halo for PC) called Halo Custom Edition. It allows for the creation of custom content (custom maps, vehicles, guns, etc.).

Heyyo,

Horsemeat, you're pessimistic aren't ya? and candy would be the ripoff. It only lasts like, a few days. A copy of halo that isin't mistreated can last a lot of years.

For $30 you can't got wrong with halo as long as your computer can handle it. My cpu specs are in my signature, and it handles halo pretty nicely. I suggest you aim for a system like mine or higher for HaloPC.

Make sure you have a super computer, and be ready for the worst netcode of your life.

If you dont have your hopes too high, its a great game for $30, but get your hopes up, and you will only be let down by some of Halo PC's flaws, rather then impressed by the new maps ect

WARNING - online performance of HaloPC is as s-hit as it comes, leading, lag, warping, oh lord.

BUT, the new maps kick way more ass than those on xbox, They were the only ones I played, more vehicle maps, they rock.

If your planning on buying HaloPC for online play, DONT. It lacks support from its devs, who dont give a damm. Its been shafted, rushed, screwed, and shipped. SP is fun, though it still suffers from lag at times. all in all, HaloPC is lame. Made even more lame by gearboxs lack of care or support.

Nark04 that actually looks like a super computer to me. I have a 1.5ghz processor, 256 ram and a 64mb graphics card, so i would never imagine buying halo pc. £30 would be better spent, if you have a comp anything like mine, on call of duty or if oyur into non multi turn based stratagy games imperialism ( i would suggest LBA but its ancient, nobody i know likes it, its french its single player only and is an adventure game not a fps, It is the best game of all time)

Heyyo,

Heh, that's no supercomputer dude, that's aboot an average budget computer nowadays. Me bud has a "higher than budget" computer cause he's a computer animator, and he's got this:

AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (still only clocked at default Hz I believe)
1gig of Generic PC3200 RAM (it's cheap ram, but plentiful)
Asus Nforce2 motherboard
ATI Radeon 9800 PRO

And he uses his intergrated soundcard. That's a pretty buffed comp. He can run Far Cry full settings and the game usually doesn't drop below 40F/S. Sure, with a comp like mine you can't crank the rez n' advanced graphics settings, but at least I get a pretty nice looking game, and since I'mma budget gamer, I'm only concerend for a smooth gameplay with decent graphics. My current PC can pull that off.

Although yes, Gearbox should've done a better job, I'm stillsatisfied by my overall preformance with HaloPC. On the timedemo with my current settings (only shadows n' specular are off) I can get a nice framerate of 38.45F/S. That's a pretty good framerate. Just as long as it doesn't studder too much on these new games, I probably won't upgrade my comp in the next while.

[EDIT]
Oh, btw, if you think Halo has bad netcode, obviously you guys don't play Online gameplay enough. Far Cry is now known for its horrible netcode. At least on HaloPC it's easy to learn to lead your shots. On Far Cry? even if you lead you're still -blam!-. Like, me bud was knifing someone, the guy got behind him, and somehow, me bud killed that guy... swinging the knife infront of himself... killing the guy behind him. Now, tell me, does Far Cry have a worse netcode that HaloPC? yes, so just learn to cope with HaloPC cause there's worse out there.
