Many of us here on Bungie.net have a group of friends, or people we know that we like to message occasionally. However, I find it a bit tedious, sometimes, to have to go search for the user, hope we have a message already from them in our inbox, or find a post by them, to message them..

Is there any chance of implementing a "Compose New Message" feature, where we could put in the users name and compose the message right then and there? Perhaps we could even (if it didn't promote spamming, too much) have the ability to send messages to multiple users (seperated by commas in the To: line?)..

I'd love to see this put in place. Any ideas, feedback, or comments to add on to this possible feature?

I think the compose message feature would be great however mutiple message sending would actually take a lot of work(unless it is already implemented in IdealBB(the forum software) because it takes a lot of code to make it do it(a friends list would help it though(not to mention stop spam because they would have to accept you))

I'm sure with all of Achronos' coding help he's recieving from Archra, it'd be a cinch.

A cinch is a good thing, right?

A compose message feature would be good but you would also need a list of all the people you message.
For example;

You click on your friends name once finding them and there is text saying "Add this person to your Message List". Then when you click on My Profile and go to Messages there could be a Compose New Message icon/text. When you click on that you write your message then above of where it says Subject there could be a box where you can write who it is to. Next to that could be either a drop down box with all the people you have added or a link which opens a new window with the names of everyone you have added. (Or something else i have never really created a site and therefore dont know too much about it).

Just an idea that would make messaging others a lot easier.

A cinch happens to be a measurement of how much love you should put into a recipe Zag. Too little of a cinch and you have really crummy cupcakes, I guess there can't be too much.

I think it would a better idea to have a "Friends List" that would work more or less like the Bookmark feature. You see a friend, click "Add," and voila! Insta-information and access to your best B.net buddies.

Thanks Zee, I don't know what I would've done without that knowledge.. >_>

Well, that's four people who think this is a good idea. I personally would like to see it implemented. It'd make contact with friends via Bungie.net even better.
