Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

Please,
I would like to be able to choose what map/ gametype I play. I get sick of sitting through 5 games until I get one I actually want to play.

I really do prefer just selecting a server manually because it gives you so much more controll.

So is there going to be MM in H2V? I have heard of this "Live Anywhere" thing but have no idea what it is.

Humor me.

I doubt that the ability to pick a specific server would be excluded. It's a core part of PC gaming.

Erk, I just got one of those 'Oh crap, I left a lit candle next to an oily rag stuck next to a pile of super-dry firewood in my garage' feelings: is it possible that Live Anywhere will be a subscription service?

live anywhere is basically exactly like xbox live, but not on xbox. it has friends things and whatever else you find on xbox live *and probably more*. In the update they did say that they connected to a dedi. so if logic is correct, you will be able to play on whatever server you want. I'm also guessing that they may even have a button to throw you into a random game, but thats just me.

Hm, I'm thinking it will be free, except for the content that you would have to pay for *like game downloads and such, not updates but like that doom game*

There's servers so there will likely be a filter for finding custom games along with matchmaking.

I just really don't want to have to take the time to build a huge friends list so I have enough people online at one time to play customs.

Choosing your own dedi FTW

MM finds people for you automatically based on popular maps on games. You don't need friends to play MM. Only Customs. But I guess if they have a game list, you won't need friends to play Customs either.

Hmm... I actually like MM. It's a great way to meet new people to play with.

They have just anounced that you will be able to choose servers. Look at the top story for details.

Maw

If you must pay for multiplayer, I will expect H2V to sell for $5.

The thought crossed my mind as well, but the h2vista.net community came to the conclusion that they wouldn't sell a damn copy if it were; I know I definitely wouldn't buy it if it was.

I get those too, except sometimes I also get the "Yay, I left a lit candle next to a pile of fluffy kittens in a dried-cardboard box."

Remember "The Maw"

is it possible that Live Anywhere will be a subscription service?

I think it will. Because, think about it. It will connect you to xbox users who have to pay to play online. So, it would make sense that they charge PC users to play versus xbox users.

Screw that. Why should we pay for hosting are own servers?

Jesus Christ, read the FAQ before you post again.

Yes, as said before, we won't have to pay to play, mainly because we will already have to pay to have your own dedicated server.

-blam!-

That would suck, but I don't think it will allow you to play with xbox players.
