And it's your connection that's slower than turtle sex.

In........................................................Out .

Ok, so I was on my favourite UNMODDED server, right? So the server goes to bg, when I try to use the pistol, masterchiefs pop out! After trying to figure out the whole game what happened, I quit the server, start my own, start up blood gulch, and instinctively go for the pistol, I test it, boom, masterchiefs pop out, I realized that when I modded a blood gulch map, I forgot to take it out, therefore I have come to the possible theories.

a. It was all a coincidence, they programmed the server to play that particular map modded.
b. A long shot, but, my bloodgulch.map put the masterchiefs in the server.

Anyone else have any theories?

If you have modded your bloodgulch.map file then that is what will be used when you play the game.

Although im not sure if it should of LET you play on-line if your client side map has been edited...?

Possibly it was not edited to the point where the game would not recognize the map. In HPC you don't have to download Bloodgulch mods which change variables on the map, such as bullet tags and what not. Though you saw yourself shoot MCs, on the other side of everyone else, they just saw you firing your weapon randomly.

Agamemnon has it down pretty much perfect. Your bloodgulch.map is modded, seems like a simple HMT swap, should be easy to reverse. The mod was only clientside, so the server didn't have it.

You see Master Chiefs, but they don't exist in the server, you are still shooting bullets normally. Sleep in Peace.

What it is.

i;ve had that happen to me before....i had my bloodgulch file modded so that the chainhog shot out rockets instead of bullets and i forgot to replace it with the original when i went online and i got in a hog and started shooting rockets, but in reality they shot bullets and i was the only one that saw the rockets...in other words, you were the only one that saw those mastercheif's pop out because you modded your map file...

Just don't repair those files by reinstalling, I learned the hard way.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

sometimes you will still see the mod taking affect on YOUR screen, but not on OTHER people's screens it wil just be normal.

QFT, dude. I wonder what you'd call 3SKs then, 3MCs?
