Subject: Has Bungie Been Up-To-Date with website?

Ha... hahahaha... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I'm sorry, but I find this funny. I've been a member for over 2 years now, and I know that having things actually getting updated on this website is very rare. I think Bungie needs to hire somebody that just works on the website. A little minion for Achronos or something... Just a part time contract thingy maybe.

Edit: By the way, I'm going to move this to The Septagon, where site related discussions belong.

When I was recently searching Bungie for information on rankings, levels, matchmaking playlists, I found a few pages that seem as if they had not been updated since the beginning of Halo 2 on Xbox Live.

I know it is not that necessary to change them, but what if another person like me was curious and did not know how the ranking system works, and if they went to some of these pages, they might get confused, as there is conflicting information concerning a few things.

This is the ranking system page. I am not sure if Bungie has made any updates to this section at all since the beginning of Halo 2 on Xbox Live, but I do know that about all the way down the page, there is an incorrect table/chart that lists some of the old playlists (Head to Head, Training Ground, Minor Clan Match, Major Clan Match). I just thought that maybe this should updated by Bungie just in case another person like myself comes along and sees this incorrect information

This is the page that describes how going into matchmaking will find you a game. I am not sure if this is entirely up-to-date, but why not just present it anyways. Maybe Bungie made an update that just modified the matchmaking system a little differently one day and we didn't notice.

This is the Bungie Team. I believe that it is up-to-date, but why not go ahead and give us all a description of everyone's job in detail?

None of this is intended as criticism, more of just as a (SLAP IN THE FACE, just kidding) to tell Bungie that they need to (maybe) modify just a few things on their site that aren't completely dead yet but are also valuable information that could come in handy.

Thanks! :)

Well, thanks for laughing at it, but I feel that it may be necessary.

Also, sorry about putting it in the wrong category.

They need to revamp the cheating FAQ.

People keep using it as evidence that "Super Bouncing isn't cheating because this FAQ says so."

If they want member submissions to FAQ's and stuff, I'm sure there would be more than enough people willing to help out. But then we'd have to find the time for Achronos or KP to review it and whatnot.

Still, I've seen some really good member-created FAQ's. You guys should consider consolidating them and making it into a whole new community-inspired page.

I think many other websites don't get updated as well.. But you must understand, almost ever single other game company, doesn't even have a website this in-depth, or if not in-depth, this interactive with the community.

Let's take a random example: Sierra

Looks like a blob of commercial spam to me.. I don't see much community interaction.

So, I suppose my point here is: Community>SellingTheGame
Bungie already has ads to sell the game. Whereas most other companies use their site for advertisement. I could care less at when those types of things get updated, since it's not my main concern.

So then what does Achronos do? I thought he was supposed to manage the website.

Dammit! I hate these new avatars! I can't tell who's a mod and who's normal anymore! >:(
