Hey, I'm getting pretty dissapointed at my plans. I want to know how many people here at bungie.net are emergency responders. (Firefighter/Police/Resuce/EMT ect). No military though, just first responders. Junior, Volunteer and paid people are able to answer this poll.

If you are I'd appriciate if you messaged me. I'm wondering if im the only one around here.

Most of the people who frequent these forums seem to be in the 14 to 16 year old range, with a scattering of "old" people 18 and over, so there probably won't be many emergency responders, but I think I have seen a few military people post before.

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

Actually, my dad is a Firefighter.

...and I watched Ladder 49 (ranks right up there with Backdraft as possibly one of the fakest firefighter movies ever made), so does that count?

lol didn't think so.

I'm a junior firefighter (16 years old). I'm thinking about starting a chapter with first responders in it but I can't find any. Some people mentioned a HALO 2 squad of us would be interesting. I really hope there are at least 6 or so.

My volunteer station has a section of the ready room set up with a PS2 and a bunch of games. Of course with our routine shenannagins it always gets a note saying " No Games- Trustee's " stuck somewhere. Most of them play sports/shooter games but rarely get involved with this stuff. But once HALO 2 comes out and if this gains some momentom my brother or someone may join. (My older bro is in the same dept).

The War will wage forever; though with it's fury comes a peace that you will never know here.

Well, I was certified at one point to administer CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Recuscitation) and Rescue Breating.

Unfortunately, they've fallen by the wayside due to utter lack of use.

I also possess the ability to perform LifeGuard duties... but I'm not certified for it.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

All I know is what I learned in Boy Scouts, which is admittedly more than most people know.

Actually the average age group is 12-14... scary.. and it isn't s "scattering" of people over 18, and if you think 18 is old... I know a person in this thread who is at least 40 and another guy on this sight is about 58 or something. I myself am almost 17, but have never participated in any emergency work past learning how to resucitate (sp?).
