People still post the same topics about the same thing. How about this idea to curb the spam. How about doing the same thing as the xbox technical formums do and get approval from the mods. You submit a topic and if the mod sees it as a repeat topic, he will delete the topic and send a message to you saying it was spam, and maybe give out perma bands while he/she's at it. That should curb the spam. :D

That'd take a whole lot of work. What would work better is something along the lines of Regdar's Repository, a special forum for well-thought out "articles" that are "published" in there.

Or people could learn to use the search feature. : /

Doesn't work. Why do you think that there's spam already?

What about having different "levels" on the forums? New people would not be allowed to post new topics until a set date, then they'd be allowed one a week, and so on and so forth as they gain "levels."

Of course, Bungie would have to figure out some way to do this without alienating all the current members.

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

No, that would take FOREVER. If I had to approve every topic that was submitted, I would quit immediately. It takes far less time and clicks to simply lock or delete the bad threads.

This has already been proposed, so you lose. ;-)

Read about the Forgotten Spartan I Program
Butane: To protect the world from devastation!
sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

Yeah, as ghandi said, this is a repeat topic. The point is lost.

Isn't it spelled Gandhi?

I agree, it would probably require that Bungie recruit many more ninjas, thus diluting their power and ultimately causing all existence to cease.

But I still think the levels idea is a good one.

People are too lazy to use it. Trust me, it works. It is not the search feature that doens't work, it is the people that do not work.

Indeed. But who says Ghandi was naming himself after Gandhi?
