Cube
the community was told that if 1000 ppl were on constistantly @ peak time for 1 week there would be a patch.this was attempted and @ peak time 500 couldnt even be achived, so thats why there is no ce patch and y there will never b 1
Actually, 500 was achieved long before the "Big Push." I remember seeing at least 600 people online the night NMC was released. ;) I doubt we'll see a repeat if the H2 mod is ever released - it's being overshadowed by the actual H2's release - but we can always hope.
The community has also been told that if Bungie wants the game patched, it will be patched. After all, Bungie still owns any flavor of Halo that exists in the world today and when it comes down to it, they still have ultimate responsibility of whether their company is meeting its goals or not. Outsourcing PC development does not mean they should wash their hands of all quality control, which they haven't, but at the same time we also haven't heard much about their stance on CE direct from the horse's mouth. : P
Sargonnas,
Bungie has released an SP2 compatibility fix for Halo Custom Edition, although it's not in the form of a patch. You can find it over at the Gearbox forums.
