Here is a tip. if you want to get better on halo just consistently play Legendary mode. no matter how many times you die you will eventually get accustomed to this mode of difficulty. and then u will own all in Slayer or CTF, like me. And for the newbs u play with..forget them, let them die, they will eventually get the hang of the game and be ready to play with your team some other time. Good Luck...

If you want to win in Multiplayer, do this.

-Move,Stop,Crouch,Scan
When you stop, you get off others motion trackers.
when you crouch- you make yourself smaller and harder to see and hit
when you scan- you can get the drop on people and not visa versa.

-Use your cover, anything that will take bullets instead of you, hide behind it.
- Practice your aim, you can practice your targeting by going in circles around a pole and keeping your recticle in a certain spot.

I'm hardly a master but I agree. Also I think a good strategy on multiplayer or not is to work out how the player plays and then act against that, if a player goes roaring into battle then counter act by sniping and a couple of carfely placed grenades, if the player is slow and cautious then go head on against them when they're least expecting it e.c.t, e.c.t.

you drew names out of a hat? next time, hell, this time just write down everyones names and rank them. your 2 best are captains, next is their backup and then you dish out the newbies. simple.

Dude,
You must be proficient with the pistol. At medium to long range nothing beats it. Practice doing head shots (2 to kill) I started doing three shot kills. First in the chest, then walk your fire up to their head, once you've got that down, you should have the aim to go for the head first.

Next, Grenade accuracy is crucial. 50 % of my kills come from follow up shots after a well placed grenade softens my target. You're good when you can stand on the sniping slope by blue base in BG and chuck a grenade into the base (through the top) and kill an enemy inside on your first throw. If you watch the pros play, they are all about good aim with the pistol and grenades.

Well first off.....have fun with it. Key to Blood Gulch Team Slayer is to grab a sniper and spawn -blam!- the other team. The teams will randomly spawn ontop or on the ground around red and blue base. It's also not a bad idea to have a teamate control the cave with the overshield and have him cover portals and occasionally red spawns if needed. Bring a stop watch and start it when the match starts. Weapons and powerups have a set time to witch they respawn at. The sniper at BG spawns every 2 minutes. Make sure that your team gets it or prevents the other team from getting it. The cave OS spawns every minute and the middle altrenating powerup spawns every 3 minutes. Try to get invisibility on the 3rd minute. Try to set it up so that you get a sniper and invis....ditch your pistol for the snipe and when you get the sniper shoot to turn invis quickly. Time your shots well since you're invis.....and then once you shoot quickly switch back to the Assault rifle to turn invisible again. Inivis is great in CTF too.

In sidewinder, get sniper(30 sec). It's good to control the powerups inbetween the level. They come up every minute. You can get a few teamates down there to sit on the powerups before they spawn so that you can share the powerups. You can also toss the flag through these bars in CTF.

Dude, I am really good in sniping and I think that if you are facing a pro sniper in BG CTF, do the following:
- Carry a pistol with you on the field. If you se the sniper, start shooting at him and he won't be able to zoom in on you.
- Always move in the shadows and never in the middle of the map! And if you get the flag with their sniper alive, don't bash in to the teleport, you are an easy kill. Instead move behind the base and cross the map from the side. Maybe have a teammate pick you up with a Hog.
- Since he's good in melee, don't go up close. Just stay in range with the pistol and you'll do fine.
- It's a good idea to use one of your new comer friends as a prey for him while you sneak by some other way. Also in BG, pick up that overshield while you are there. then you can't be head shotted.
- In Sidewinder the teleports are always used frequently. You could avoid sniping by using the indoor space in the middle of the map to get from place to place.
- If he's a real pro, he might dominate that space 'cause a sniper uses the camouflage to hide.
- If you are in the same room in a LAN, always listen when the enemy uses a teleport or a vehicle. It will tell you where they are.
- Make code names for nice spota in maps. That way your team can communicate out loud without the other team knowing what you are doing.
- Try to take on the enemy one by one, not in a group.
- Use frags in CTF to distract your enemies. Just toss a few somewhere far and the sniper will probably zoom there and you can slip by.
- Remember that campers donät show on the motion detector in they don't move. So always be alert.
- In slayer have the new comers work in a pair and you as a better dude go alone. Then your team is more effective.
- Remember that great snipers improvise and find their own places ti hide in. It could well be behind a bush in the middle of the map or in the darkest shadow in a tunnel entry.
- Never underestimate a sniper! Especially if his second weapon is a pistol!

Woah, I don't want to make a too long list. This should help you get by the sniper in BG and Sidewinder. I hpe this was of help. PM me if you have more questions. I think that your team will now have a few problems less in the game.

On sidewinder get out of the map with a sniper rifle! from there you can pick everyone out if you stand right.
