Well until I build my new computer I need to improve the one I have a little because not only am I getting pissed by lag but if I up the RAM it might help the sell value.

My computer currently has 256 megs of RAM, Yes I know its bad.

Anyway I have a Dell Dimension 4550 and I googled and checked it and it said it took DDR333 SDRAM. I am buying a 256 stick and its only like $30 so its not that bad. I also checked my computer and saw another RAM slot. I need to make sure I buy the right kind and I was wondering if someone could give me a link to the right RAM and help me make sure I did my research right. I think I found some RAM on newegg but I want to compare it to your guys suggestions and see if I got it right.

Thank You ahead of time

The few, the proud, the leet.

There aren't different kinds of DDR333 RAM. Go out to the store, find a 256 Megabyte stick of DDR-333, or higher really since it'll just get throttled down, and buy it. The only thing you'll need to look out for is not to buy laptop memory, but I suppose that's clear enough.

different speeds/brands should be compatible, unless your motherboard really sucks.
