The tale of Halo 2 Pirates saddens my heart greatly. In the following paragraphs you will read of one instance in my comunity of someone who has pirated Halo 2 and how there story goes. We will call this person Bob...
"Bob sits patiently outside his friends bedroom door, along with several other men all finishing up the last of a poker game. From the other side of the bedroom door, voices ring out in unison. It can only be the single greatest noise in the world. Bob pushes the door open slowly and a blinding light momentarily causes him to squint. For a brief second his heart fails do to the large lettering on the television screen that reads "Halo 2". The controller flotes into his hands and the magic begins. Three days later the men emerge from the small room...""
And so the story goes. Upon hearing his "Version" of the story, I was immediately discusted. For me it would have been like this...
"The door slowly opens and for a brief moment my heart stops. Do to the haunting images of Bungie CEO's pulling up in front of my house in warthogs and banshees, then gunning my house down to cinders. I look down to my watch and realize it is not November 9. What kind of abomination is this? I run to the Xbox that sits slowly humming on the ground and kick it straight out the bedroom window. "Blastfammy!" I scream and run from the room begging Microsoft and Bungie for what I have done."
As funny as some of it may sound the story is actually true. The persons in the first tale have all been reported to bungie by every citizen in my town. Several outbreaks in my community have occured and all i can say is: Only Bungie/Microsoft can create something so amazing as to cause a riot. Great job guys and keep hunting those damn pirates.
