You think it got what it takes to be..?.

God forbid you send me one of those I was checking for cool gamers and saw you messages too, I will scream to the top of my lungs and smash this damn screen/BlackBerry to pieces! You've been warned -_-

One idea that I have for Bungie.net and that's a Friends List. Those of you who don't know what a Friends list is, a Friends List is a list of members of a Fansite (like Myspace, AOL, atc.) who are your friends (duh!). I think this list should be accessed in every member's profile and it should be visible. It also should have the username and the link to their profiles right in the list so the members wouldn't have to search for the member's name which takes up some time. I think this list however should be different: They should have like a friend queue button where if somebody wants you to be on their friends list, you should have the choice to accept or reject that offer.

I think this would be a good idea because that way, members don't have to look in forums to find their buddies the list is right there for them. I thought of this idea when I saw a member's sig that reads Bungie.net Friends: The list of friends.

I'll need some feedback though....

Something like this was raised before, and it was generally accepted.

However, some of the major down-points were:
* Mods would be spammed with FRs.
* People could use the Mods on their Friend's List to know when none are on to spam.
* They could be used for "bragging rights".

And those are some I can think of.

It'd be nice to see such a thing, but it'd have to be made carefully.

Why have it visible? Good Idea though.

What's your logic behind that? Just because they have white text people would want to send them a friend request?

* Mods would be spammed with FRs.

Apparently so, yes.

I didn't come up with the points that I made, they're from an almost identical thread that came about a while back.

That's why there should be a reject and a delete friend button. Maybe they should copy the Ignore button from the P.M. options into the Friends list. That will solve 2 out of 3. For bragging rights, I don't know let them brag but it's completely pointless

Here's the other thread where a similar idea came up. That's also the place where I found most of the criticisms I listed.

Oh, I see. So I guess this thread was pointless.

No, not at all. This shows that there's still interest, and it's even from people who're thinking this up on their own.

Let me just add on the idea to Copy that Ignore button from the P.M option thing and place it on the friends list. That way you wouldn't have to deal with spam.

btw Johnrap, I seriously doubt that members would reject you.

Why does the friend list have to be visible to everyone?

It's called a "friend's list" so I don't think all of the mods would have the same friend that spams, and the mods shouldn't be obligated to accept everyones friend request.

Wow.

I honestly don't remember making that thread O_o

*edit* Oh yeah....now it's coming back to me. Meh, it was flawed idea, and I'm sure I wasn't the first to think of it.

Maybe this thread can be part 2 of the flaw.

Just joking.
