I bet you're using windows xp right? well I read up on the creative site that you should change your ACPI Unimicroprocessor thing to ACPI Advanced power configuration or something like that, it worked for me... letme dig up the link...

Go to the windows troubleshooting, try the ACPI fix first, and if that fails then try disabling your HD's DMA mode... hopefully you won't have to disable DMA
