No to all because they are all exploits in the game. Skill should not rely on how well you can exploit the game

Hell no. No glitches. No bouncing around like a kangaroo on acid. No flying across the map with the sword like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Hell no. They'd also be way too easy to do on a Keyboard.

What these guys said.

Also, it's a glitch for crying out loud. It's not intended to be in the game, so obviously Bungie would try to do something about it, right? After all, they did say it was not allowed in matchmaking.

I would like to state that the BYB is not a button glitch. It may give you a slight upper hand, but it doesn't cancel any animations or anything.

I guess it could be in H2V if Bungie doesn't spend the time fixing them due to the fact it could cause other unintended glitches in gameplay if fixed.

Not totally sure. Pressing BYB makes you melee, then switch to your other weapon and melee. It is slightly faster to melee this way then to just press B over and over again. Small advantage, but IMO it doesn't cancel any animations or stuff to gain an unfair advantage. BXB doesn't do anything though.

Signatures are for little kids.

Absolutely not. Glitches are for dumb kids whose parents hate them.

They shouldn't have been in the game in the first place, but they were. The only objection I have to these button glitches is that they're relatively easy to pull off. With practice, they become easier and easier. I don't mind that too much. But if your opponent is consistent with a BXR and he's got a better connection and is about two feet away, you're screwed. It's the whole latency issue that's got people mad about the button glitching.

No matter how hard development teams look for gliches to fix in there game, they will always miss a few. Some of the gliches in halo 2 were actualy kindof fun, like the super bounce or the one where you can launch a guy like a rocket using the hog. If there are still glichhes like that and people don't want people using them on there server, theres a simple salution, ban/kick, works every time....

I didn't know you came on the forums. :\

I doubt they'd be inserted back into Halo 2: Vista on purpose, but it could be that they come with the port. Whether they're in there or not; it's part of the game now. :\

I agree, but from the mistakes they made in Halo 2, they can always fix them. So, they know what to fix, it's just a matter if they are willing to.....which they problably are.

Think of it as an essay. First you brainstorm, then you take out minor mistakes or things you don't want. Then, make a rough draft, and see if any additional mistakes are present. In your final, it shouldn't have as many problems as it would have if you just didn't test or fix them. Glitches will be there, I'm not saying they won't, but the obvious ones, like BXR, will most likely not be there.

That's a myth. It works just as well with a full clip. And yes, Master Kim, it does help with certain guns where the melees are slow.

Also, it's a glitch for crying out loud. It's not intended to be in the game, so obviously Bungie would try to do something about it, right? After all, they did say it was not allowed in matchmaking.

It's actually only considered bad sportsmanship in matchmaking. It's only against the rules if someone in that particular matchmaking game opposes to button glitches, and I think I remember reading that it's not a bannable offense. Also, they put the X cancel in the game, why shouldn't we be able to take advantage of it? You shouldn't put an action in the game and then tell people they can't use it. I do agree, though, that it will be way too easy to do button 'glitches' in Halo 2 Vista, though, with macros and such.

You read that it wasn't a bannable offense with the ban hammer, as in, it can't be detected automatically. You will be banned from feedback, or if you happen to do it against a B.net mod or worker, as that poor sap who BXR'd N0F found out...

That still doesn't tell me why they intentionally put something in the game and tell me not to use it.

  • 11.11.2006 9:33 AM PDT

No because they are called glitches for a reason.

What? Play a game? FOR FUN???
This concept of fun confuses and infuriates me!

No, I rather there not be the same glitches. Playing live at a friend's house, I can't tell you how many times i've seen people super bounce and be cheap asses, and sit and snipe safely out of distance, unable to be hurt. Piss me off, lemme tell you..
Also, Refund, there is no ghost of Lockout, that was just a mod.
