For those that own "Halo: The Fall of Reach," flip all the way to the end, to the ad that says "Soldier, It's time you learned if you can survive Halo." Look at the bottom left. You should see an ESRB rating of T; for Teen. Remember, this book was published a few months earlier than Halo:CE itself, methinks, so what did Halo do to deserved it's rating of M. More specifically, why was it orginally rated Teen. Weird, isn't it?

Halo deserves it rated M only because of the gore you see when you blast the flood apart. Even then, the flood guts are green, and not red. You might say that if Halo had no campaign, only multiplayer, it would probably have been rated Teen. Many rated "T" games have blood, but no gore. Gore usually makes most games rated M.

I would like to consider myself a Floodian. WRLAAWRSHGLK!

Also, when you shoot the Covenant in Halo 1, their blood just kind of explodes out of them. Lol

No, when you melee the dead Elites and Jackals in Combat Evolved, the blood explodes out of them. When you shoot them in Halo 2, it really explodes.

lt honestly isn't that gorey compared to some other games rated M. But l wish it was! Not 'cause l'm some sick freak who likes bloody stuff, but because this is WAR! Come on! l wanna see bodies gettin' blown up! Brains getting shot out, bloodied bodies, and when l hit something with an energy sword, l wanna see it get cut in two! This just adds to the realism to a war. War isn't happy and dandy with no blood. lt's violent and crazy. And the Covenant's pretty damned crazy.

Go read the books for your excessive-blood-and-gore fix; I recommend the Halo Graphic Novel.

When fighting Covies in the games, it seems pretty "happy" to me. Well, happier. For instance, if Halo or Starcraft were real, as a human, which enemy would you rather face? Covenant, or the Zerg? Comparing a scene from the novel, or even in the game of the Chief or a marine taking on the Covies... a Terran marine taking on a zergling in Starcraft seems depressing.

It really should be teen...it isnt that bloody..i mean call of duty has just as much blood but no gore....plus it's WITH ALLIENS...its totally fake, but the weird thing is that at this point i can't imagine it being rated under Mature. But what does it matter at this point. "puts on gears of war*

Note: GoW is #1 goryest game

if there was somthing inbetween T and M it would be that, just like T and E ( E10 ). the Elites' and Jackals' bloods and go pretty far if u hit them 100+ times. And if u hit then too much, then when you look at the blood it lags a little. You can also make the whole damn map bloody(just move the body around and hit it) lol

and holy crap you are right! it does say T!!!???
