While you're at it, get him to ban B133A as well.

I know I just got back from a nice 7 day vacation, and I'm not eager to go on another, so I'm trying my damndest not to pour kerosene on this little nitwit.

Kerosene? Matches? Please, that is so five centuries ago. We have defoliant projectors here. Excuse me while I grease up my flame thrower.

Don't buy the game if you are going to be like that.

Be like what? Honest?

Honesty is never the best policy and violence solves everything. You would do well to remember that.

Sure thing there Atilla the Hun.

atilla the hun was a great leader that strenghened asia, or was that ghengis khan? atilla was still cool.

Well, I was going to say Hitler or Stalin, but I figured that would've gotten me modded.

Allright, folks. So Halo Bngie diddn't really add all the stuff to Halo 2 we hoped they would add. New vehicles and weaons would be nice, I know, but looks like it ain't gonna happen.

Look at the bright side. It's freakin' Halo 2, one of the most popular MP ames. Any time you loose you're faith in it, just go watch some monatages on youtube.

I will glardly buy it, mostly just because it's an actual sci fi FPS, which is rare as hell on the PC.

The Half-Life series, the Doom series, Battlefield 2142. I guess you've never heard of those games before.

I didn't forget those, I just thought that Half Life and Doom was enough to make him shove his foot back up his mouth, I didn't want him to swallow his foot far down until it went out his ass. :)

I didn't want to include F.E.A.R. because I consider it more of a horror-action game, despite it's sci-fi weapons and cloned soldiers.

Let's not forget Dark Forces (A game older than some of you) Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight. DF2:JK Mysteries of the Sith. Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Academy. And I'll also go into some of the Star Trek FPS games (As much as it pains me to admit) STV:Elite Force was pretty good.

So you see, there are a lot of science fiction (Don't call it sci-fi, it denegrates the genre) FPS games on the market.

BTW stealthlogic, how's that toejam sandwich tasting?

How dare you? Star Wars is not science fiction. It's space opera, or space fantasy. Fiction, though it may depict events that may or may not have happened, must be in a certain way realistic. I'm not saying they're bad games, mind you, it's just that I think people shouldn't categorize Star Wars with general science fiction.

Toe jam sandwich, good one. I'm quite tired so I can't think up of any good insults right now.

How dare I? How dare I? Oh, I dare. Star Wars is Science Fiction, just like Star Trek is Science Fiction. Just like Babylon 5, and Andromeda, and Battletech, and Seaquest DSV, and all the other multitudes of science fictions shows/movies/games/books.

None of those are in any way realistic. If they were they would have to call it Science Non-fiction. Tell me, does creating food from thin air seem realistic? or how bout all the convienient technobabble that is so pervasive in science fiction? None of it is in the least bit realistic.

You say Star Wars is a space opera? Then I guess Star trek is "Days of Our Lives" Set 500 years in the future.

Which I already have, on the Xbox. My reason for paying for it, again, is? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?

Not everone out there has Halo 2 on their XBOX (or even an XBOX for that matter.) A lot of people saw Halo 2 and went "oh that looks like a nice game but I hate console controls."

We'll buy it because it's Halo 2 with excellent controls.

I don't consider Half Life to be a sci fi game because it's set just a tiny bit in the future. All the rest of the games you mentioned either aren't FPS games.

Bungie may not have added all the thongs we wanted to see in the PC version of Halo 2 but it's stil the same excellent game that was unleashed upon the world 2 years ago. It's got a compelling story, kick as AI, and some a really neat arsenal of weapons. Plus, it has dual wielding (which you just dont see in PC Games anymore unfortunately), which, alone, makes the game worth getting.

Plus, the weapon effects are so good they make my head hurt.

You call that incentive? When you buy a port you're not buying it because it's recycled material; you're buying it because it has something other then what the original game had. A "compelling story," "great AI," and "a neat arsenal of weapons with dual wielding" is not going to sell the port.

Oh, and I'm curious, do you not consider Ninteen Eighty-Four sci-fi as well because the year has already passed? The weapons too in Half-Life; how many do you see in real life? Sorry, but I've yet to see a pulse rifle with a secondary fire option that erases someone from existance when hit by it.

Also, you don't consider the rest FPS games? Really, like which games?

It seriously sounds like the only game you know is Halo, and I'm sorry to break it to you but there are a ton of better games out there.

Uh huh, I think stealthlogic is a good name for you. Because I have a really hard time seeing any logic to your words at all.

All those games were FPS's. Why? Because they were shooters, from a first person perspective.

Half-Life has Aliens, Headcrabs, Zombies, and a very science fictiony plot.

And Agamemnon, Dark Forces was WAY better than Doom. Jedi Knight was magnitudes better than any game at the time. You're probably just too young to remember it.

And I don't really care if you don't like Star Wars, it's your perogative. But bashing someone elses preferences is very immature.

Jedi Knight set the standards for FPS's no doubt, but the general concept and story behind it wasn't even laughable; it was downright sad.

Oh, and Star Wars is alright. I don't own the DVDs or anything and I wasn't one of the guys waiting in line the first day those movies came out, but they're pretty good. I was just saying the quality of the games was nothing to boast about.

You have a point about the plot. Definately not up to Lucas' standards. At least they tied in with the ending of Dark Forces. (Vader says about Kyle Katarn: "The Force is strong with this one")

The problem with all video game-Movie or movie-videogame conversions is that they do indeed suck most of the time. The Wing Commander movie was a total pukefest compared to the game. Casting Freddie Prinze Jr. didn't help. And everyone knows there's never been a decent Star Trek game, with the possible exception of Elite Force, but the plot in that game was craptastic. SFC 1 was good if you could figure it out (A 200 page manual didn't help)

Movies make bad video games, and video games make bad movies. With the exception of Resident Evil, of course. The original movie kicked ass.
